Actually it does have a lot to do with waiting in lines. SE likely has a limit on how many instances of one dungeon can be up at a time so that people that need other dungeons can still do them on a busy day. Which in an ideal set-up would have servers specifically reserved for specific dungeons or groups of dungeons, and some that are flexible and change which dungeons they host. The fact that AK has a line, and others don't should tell you just how popular running AK is.

And AK is not meant to be ran 100 times a week either. Just as some quick food for thought, if you want to have better AK or Coil runs, in the big picture it would help more if you did do more of the hard mode Primals to get a larger pool of players geared enough to do them. Not saying to go carry other players, but to help them instead of excluding them. As if you keep running just the ones that only benefit you, you help perpetuate the gap between new and old players which leads to either a constantly diminishing end game player base, or more and more gear resets that make efforts like doing the Coils meaningless in order to keep the game accessible to the majority of the player base. Which is why I believe the design idea behind XI's end game gear worked so well pre-Adoulin, end game gear was not made meaningless with each new expansion.

I'm just pointing out that choosing easy mode is going to come at the cost of flowing with the herd. You have all week to farm your 8 AK runs, no need to get them all in today. Since you are all about enjoyment with your casual friends, that shouldn't be a problem for you.

You can buy your Melee Cylas, hang out in Toll in a few weeks and tell yourself that Allagan gear isn't really that cool.... Or show off all your sweet loot you win weekly out of Coil, I really don't care.

Quit lying to yourself though.. because that's the only person your fooling.


You don't enjoy content, you enjoy loot. You just want it easy.. If AK had no queue time you wouldn't be here complaining.

As I said directly in my other post, because square enix are incompetent they have assigned hard limits per dungeon instead of globally assigning their instance servers based on demand. It's not an issue of me not understanding.

It takes 8 AK runs to cap mythology. Why would you run it 100 times? It would be nice if there was another 4-man to run that gives mythology then maybe this issue wouldn't exist, but it does.

There's a reason people are "spamming" AK, and it's not because they're too narrow-minded(as the other guy put it) to do other stuff.

I enjoy hard content, I don't care about loot. I don't want it easy. Not sure why you're trying to be an E-psychologist, you're not very good at it. I'm already wearing Allagan stuff. The fact that you're writing all this based on an falsity because you think i'm lying to my self is nothing short of comical. So much Melodrama for a forum post. I don't care what you choose to believe, it's irrelevant to me. Do yourself a favour and dial down the crazy.

Mondays is such a horroble day... All the instances are laggy as fuck. For Keep you have to wait sometimes 20-25 Mins+.... I mean wtf SE "fixed" there.... I really hope there will be some server upgrades with 2.1 ...

3 weeks of 20-40 min AK queues makes it look like they don't care. Between this and THOUSANDS of RMT/teleport hackers/bots I see everyday I don't know what to think. I think a lot of people will end up quitting over issues like this not being resolved at all, it doesn't make the game look good at all. I don't see many people resubbing after their first month is over when issues like this persist unsolved.

Just makes the game look really scummy(RMT/bots/hackers) and unprofessional/lazy, as well as extremely cheap with very delayed response times to any issues. I expect better from a game charging me per month.

Lets see, Theme parks have nice big shiny attractions and side shows, Theme park MMO's have nice shiny dungeons and quests/events. If a theme park's has a popular ride, guess what, lines form. Theme park MMO has a popular dungeon or event/quest, guess what, lines form.

How is a dungeon server group different from a theme park's rollercoaster? A rollercoaster always has each cart(aka group) going at once, where as a dungeon group can run each one separately. You typically do not notice the dungeon's lines because of that.

And just like with a theme park or any other thing a line can form for, if you don't like waiting in lines, don't do it on the busiest days for it, which for MMO Dungeons is the weekends and the reset day.

Also when MMO's do have things very popular where lines may be needed, it is really telling on the kind of community the game has when it does happen.

Edit: On the 100 AK run thing, I personally have yet to run it myself so was just using a number for illustration purposes if 8 is all it takes to cap out, doesn't change the fact it is not intended to be the only thing done for the tomes all the time as well.

..Says the lead design engineer for a sucessfull MMO... right? I'm sure you have a complete understanding of the technical side of their server setup. Considering the amount of schooling and commitment that might take, and your likelyhood to undertake challenges, there may be some doubt that you are. Of course you do, else why are you here complaining about wait times to get into AK? If you don't care about loot, there are quite a few other places that are fun and interesting to go.

You have plenty of classes to level. Go... enjoy the content.

The fact remains that even those of us with Legacy are still paying $10 a month for what amounts to waiting in line. I can do that in real life for free, thank you very much. I personally have all my classes capped, so leveling is sort of no longer an option for me, and my schedule doesn't quite allow for joining a serious Free Company to pound out Coils. I just want to do a few AK runs on Monday to work on the 8 needed to cap my Mythos for the week, is that really such an obscene, entitled thing to ask for? Is there some special payment plan I need to opt in to so that I can get what little content progression I am able to do at my leisure?
