Please buff Succor.

From what I ve seen, it said "no effect" and the tooltip explicitly states it creates a shield equal to the amount restored, so I'm under impression of no shield created. That said, its quite ok if I'm wrong (gladly accept it!), but even so most of my post above s still correct: Succor is a weak gimmicky heal that doesnt stack with itself.

If it says it has 'no effect' its because they have a stronger adloq shield on them, usually from someone casting adloq or succor on them already.

A 200 shield will be replaced by a 201 shield and so forth. But a 200 shield will have no effect if a 201 shield is on. I haven't tested partially broken shields because I usually wait for the shield to break before recasting adloq so I dunno if it cares about the 'base strength' or the current strength.

I really, really like this idea. A LOT.
An instant-cast, off-gcd spell that uses up one aetherflow stack to detonate all applied shields into a heal (or hell, I'd be happy with a HoT even). It'd still be expensive MP-wise, but at least we'd have a solution to the shields-not-stacking issue. And potency-wise, it doesn't really change anything and seems quite fair.

They could even make it a fairy ability (put it on Selene, so it doesn't make Illumination too OP either) instead of her worthless silence. (Because in all honesty : Rouse > Illumination > Succor > Detonate shield > Whispering Dawn sounds a bit too OP. The healing output, even considering cooldowns, would be pretty insane.)

No Faerie to heal for us when we are incapacitated or when we have to move/run. No raid CD to reduce/prevent damage.

WHM/SCH is the best healing comp for 8-man, and SCH is healing perfectly fine in 4-man, so I do not see the issue here. Stop acting as if it's WoW and all classes have to be equal!

I think the reason why this post is called buff succor and not buff SCH adloq/physic is because we are actually discussing about SCH's AOE heal issue. Everyone knows the best combination in an 8-man would be SCH + WHM. WHM x2 combination would not fall far from the best. But SCHx2 combination is the problem. SCH just do not have the ability to quickly bring the raid's health back to safety during end game when boss spams heavy AOE damage.

Can i propose the below fix:-

When SCH succor a shielded party member, instead of not able to overwrite the current shield, why not redirect the shield absorb amount as direct heal. it would balance the class, we still need to spam like mad as our succor's potency is low and have high mana cost. that way we can at least spam and keep the raid group alive.

Well, I was willing to use up an Aetherflow for it, but that'd work too I suppose ;-)

SCH short comings really show up in HM titan fight without a WHM things get ugly fast after heart phase even with two GOOD SCH that dodge everything.......I think a lot of good changes were mentioned in this thread some that dnt even cause the SCH to be too OP. if only SE would consider them it could make SCH a much more balanced class.

I feel that fairy control is SCH biggest issue, fey illum to whispering dawn is just to important in a critical situation to be on cooldown due to Eos using it when she switches from steady to guard/obey. As for buff to succor can't see tht happening it would be to OP I ran HM titan with 2 SCH we alternated laying sacred soil between stomps and jumps while casting succor as a shield after to further prevent dmg, it made Titans jump seem like a light scratch on a semi- well geared party especially If I rouse-illum-dawn before I could imagine a buff completely making boss moves obsolete.

Or give selene the defense buff and give eos the healing ability. So we have a buff pet and a healer pet. Leeches feel underwhelming for a lvl 40 job ability. Could give that to the pet. They could tie the shield detonation to sacred soil because soil does feel underwhelming for an aetherflow ability since it has a cd of 30 seconds. Wheres a bard can place -10% damage debuff with no cd.

Regen does the job just as well as fairy. Dome is 10% at best, plus I d rather save my stack for lustrate rather than dome. Besides, this thread aint about buffing SCH but fixing a very inherent issue with the class.

There is no we nor them, you can be both SCH and WHM in this game, so I would like to suggest you lvl ACN to 50 and enjoy SCH's experience, just like I'm now both WHM/SCH (dont worry, besides weapons they share all gears). Maybe then you will have a wider view about what is being talked bout in this thread. I'm not sitting on my SCH butt talking about greener side, mind you.
