But...
It was posted in the game. It is put into your log as soon as you log in. They also gave several warnings throughout the day(mostly within the last few hours of the maint). They even gave the "Maintenance will be starting shortly. Please log out safely." message. If you were really paying attention in game...how...did you miss this?
There are people in this world that are painfully oblivious to their surroundings. These are the people that stand around in one zone and shout "how do i do xxx" and "where can i find yyy" for 30 minutes or longer instead of searching for an answer. These are the people that don't know that google is a thing, or that the official forums or launcher can tell you when the game is working or not and why. These are the people that derp their way through a dungeon only to ask you at the end "how'd I do it was my first time here." These are the people that stand in the red while dps'ing.
I'm not sure where the OP fits into the situations I've described above. But I'm pretty sure it includes "google is a thing" and "you can find news in the launcher."
When you log onto your game, before putting in your username and password, there's this nice little box underneath that has a bunch of news.
Pretty sure the info about the emergency maintenance was in there. Just saying...
The poster already admitted their error. There's no reason to keep bumping this thread and beating the dead horse.
It's cool, you made a mistake, don't sweat it.
People need to chill out, especially the people still hounding the guy after he admitted the mistake.
Just wanted to let you know that if you use the events tab often, you can go to your log settings and enable getting system messages. That way you can avoid this happening. I know it must have been frustrating, but you shouldn't go out and post something assuming things without doing research first. People will start bashing on you for it.
