Inventory full, Loot abandoned

I think it should give you the opportunity to drop something else in order to get the new item...that should not be hard for them to do. I do agree with the others though...you have to pay attention when it warns you that you are running low on inventory slots...The warnin has always kept me safe.

I didnt read the last few pages and idk if this was already said but regarding the OP, FFXI has a treasure list where your drops go when your inventory is full or if there is at least one other person in a party with you. Which gives u time to toss stuff if you are full and/or lot if you need it.

And its also on the ps2 so yeah...I don't see why a loot list can't be implemented outside of dungeons in 2013.

TBO, this is what you can expect every time you place a suggestion in general discussion. Try putting it in the specific game sub-forum, less childish trolls go there (since they don't care about the state of the games systems anyways). XI and XIV 1.0 both had the loot list for "oops forgot my inventory is full" situations, but they took it away. Not everyone knows or cares.

Like i said few post earlier, XIV 1.0 did have similar feature. There might be reason this was removed in ARR. At least we got warning if our inventory almost ran out of spaces.

And I thought it were common sense for MMOs since long ago, that a temporary slot will appear when looting a new item while your inventory is full, so you can choose which item to discard in order to give place for the new one... Until I meet SE's white knights...

The didn't put overflow items in the loot list in 1.0
They put every item in the loot list, regardless if the inventory was full or not. At least in party play.
If you didn't put it from the loot list in your inventory and your inventory was full, the item also vanished after a short time or after you left the instance.

That is also true.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the fact that we are going to have our own housing, and storage based off all the furniture in side. The way I take it, it's supposed to work like FFXI did where if added a desk it gave so many inventory slots, etc... etc... etc...

There is no such visual representation on-screen on the PS3 build (or IIRC the PC build with the controller interface). No UI setting to show it either. I have never had this issue (I manage my inventory often) but that nice UI element is sorely missed on the PS3.

I know they're different games, but I'll point out again the guy I linked earlier in Eve Online that owns over 9000 items not counting duplicates. That guy is obviously a rare case, but most Eve players probably have 100s or 1000s of items scattered throughout New Eden. I seem to recall Eve having around 300,000 (active) subscribers at one point, so their db definitely gets a workout. :)
