Discuss Patch 1.17a Notes

Yea some of the questions let you select up to 3 things tho. and lots of people had one of the choices as what is getting added today. Quests~ ^^

I hope they've somehow tied the egg event into the main storyline lore of the game. Maybe these quests will tie more into what's going on and the start of the war era or whatever. Yoshi did hint at some historic events about to unfold, maybe this is the day? It is the day after Easter and nothing happened yesterday, so what was the point of getting the event in-game before then? Hoping for something big!

I am the biggest advocate for change here, but yeah they did mention that this was to be a small patch. Basically the end piece of the last patch, so what we got is decent, BUT 1.18 is where we are suppose to see some REAL change battle system the biggest thing from what i've heard so far.

The next patch is a big one for me in determining rather to stay with XIV or not but i will say to this point i will give yoshida's team credit i think they are trying, I was being rather critical at 1st.
Clamed down, looked and thought ok yeah its a big project to step into, so been reading more and shooting a little less.

Battle system and additional classes rather it be advancements on current ones or new w/e thats what i am waiting for, I want to hold a katana again thats all =/ i'd pay 15+ a month to play as my favorite class again.
Atm i just dont feel the armory system has anything for my taste buds no matter what battle class i look at i cant make the type of hero i want to play so i just hope i can soon.
I dont even care if they choose not to call it a samurai lol shogun/ronin w/e they want its cool with me ^^;

I know classes wont come for a while so i'll just cross my fingers

The mini quests are likely to have more to do with the Grand Companies.

Oh, they might add quests in the towns too. i was at Owls Nest (Coerthas) Today and there just so happened to be a side quest there. Reward was 12 Grilled Dodo's :)

I've been doing those quests too. Golden Bazaar and Wineport also have quests. :D But damn I was about to complete all the quests (except the r45 one in LL and Ul'Dah) now I have to scout around for more again xD

But most of all, there was the buff already o.O Do we really need something telling us how many players we have in party? :D LoL I can count, I don't need a huge 3D effect to tell me if I'm in a light or a full party...

They added quests to hamlets? Dang didn't notice hehe... probably just w8 till I get my first 45+ than explore the whole world to see what I've missed :P

Yep, and there may be more there now. The only problem with that tho... is that there arent many quests that have you go to those hamlets. So unless you just liked to wonder into random hamlets, you wouldnt find them.

well we were told we would be getting infusions of quests regularly, and they are keeping to it(think its been a single update since that we didnt get any?)

im personaly gonna wait a while to let them get alot more then they got in now before i bother
