I can see this but you really can't stop them from literally not taking the dozens of hints in early game that try to lead them in a good direction. These are the same people that would go out into the wilderness and mindlessly grind xp instead of doing quests or dungeons that are more challenging in an older mmo. I don't believe the actual game should have to funnel people into doing what seems like common sense (updating to current gear before party play, doing quests and working dungeons runs into your gameplay for better gear boosts and player skill. ect even if you spend a lot of time doing fates.)
