From Yoshi: The response to FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn has well exceeded our expectations, and unfortunately resulted in our inability to provide the service which we originally intended. We humbly ask for your continued patience as we work to alleviate the issues as we truly appreciate all of our fans.
yes unfortunately...
New thread cannot be created due to your main character's level is not high enough.
I'm level 17. How many levels do I need? So newcomers are not even allowed to speak?
I agree that this is a ridiculous launch. However I'm not after if a particular one is punished, I'm more interested in what will us consumer get from this. Can we get extended free play period? The free 30 days should only be counted since the day your server is stabilized and every user can login in less than 15 min delay.
The number you allow is merely 150k users and they need to be distributed in different areas. Then why do you sell that many copies? Stop selling because people who buy them at this point (including myself) are wasting their money. I haven't played for a single minute after I redeemed my retail key and as someone who can only play during weekend, I see 1/4 of my 30 days gone.
Ridiculous: The text that you have entered is too long. Please shorten it to 1000 characters long.
OP:
You better thank God you're not on my server... I'd boycott playing with you, and if I see you on Duty Finder, I will take the 15minutes penalty and leave.
I really am getting sick of losing a whole day of playing because of connection lost error or random crashes. Sadly, I still dont think this will be fixed this week.
Sure, I'll admit I foam at the mouth when I can't log in due to the hundreds/thousands of people AFKing overnight. But you know what? When I'm in the game playing it, I'm having the best MMO experience I've ever had, and in the long run I'll be glad I stuck through all these issues.
We will survive, and this game WILL succeed if you give them a chance. Yes, player number estimates were wrong and they apologised for that, it is hurting SE more than it hurts us.
Sit down, shut up and drink your milk.
Has anyone actually read the the sticky at the top of the forums? with all this talk you would have thought SE were doing absolutely nothing to fix the problem or help the community. I'm not one to complain at people but this is getting a bit silly. They have stated they're fixing the problem and have even given a date also they had said they will extended peoples play times because of it, but yet people still find the need to make 100 threads and complain? i would have understood if there was 0 communication and no dates or info given but there is, so i would say please go read the sticky before posting anything or click the link BeePee posted
Their reputation is good. They had to suspend sales because the demand was so high. I can't think of the last FF game where the demand was this much since FF7, where they marketed the hell out of it on print, TV, and radio.
A successful launch will always be like this. Whenever Sony, MS, or Nintendo release a new console, it's sold out the first week. People didn't really knock them because they didn't forecast the initial demand.
For a high quality experience, you want them to scale intelligently. You don't learn anything by adding capacity without improving your processes.
I think you guys are just having crap luck.
My group (those who were able to get the game at launch) have been able to play just fine.
You dont fire a manager at a electical plant just because 50 houses lost power in a storm.
You tell them they are working as fast as you can, and get shit done.
Just wait until the servers are fix, and fix your crappy luck, OP :P
