I played FFXI on my ps3 though. Unless you had the backwards compatible ps3, you weren't able to play it. Since ps4 is backwards compatible through cloud storage, it's going to be playable. Better quality on the other hand, is up to Yoshi. Hopefully they don't make us wait too long.

Why Developers Care about the PS4


Seems like it would be a good reason to put ARR on PS4 since it has some many trendy and social options available in one simple console system.

To be honest, I'd like to see it on the WonderSwan or TurboGrafx 16


But in all seriousness :P I can't see why it won't be on the PS4. It is fully scalable and the PS4 supports all previous playstations through gaikai.

actually it only works on the backwards compatible ps3 as long as you download/purchase off the psn a specific program for it to be able to work properly otherwise it doesn't work at all.

PS3 is more then just a console though. Its a media center. And with PS4 coming it becomes a broader media center. I dont understand why ps4 isnt reverse compatiable but id think it be really good idea to make it available on PS4 because people will be upgrading their current media centers ps3s to PS4s immediately it comes out. As well as opening up to a new community thats just gunna end up getting bigger. Sense the ps4 is basically a stronger ps3.

My PC makes a much better media center than your PS3/4/5/6/10.

It's pathetic that a machine marketed primarily as a game device seems to be wanted more for the other things it does instead. That should tell us something.
