The whole Legacy debate wrapped up.

The problem isn't legacy/ non-legacy, it's the horribly flawed way SE decided to make people Legacy. I wished they'd at least given all 1.0 players equal chance.

For a lot of people they played all along, for many others they quit but still made legacy. My BF is a good example of this, he couldn't care less about 1.0 while I loved it! yet he's Legacy for playing 2 weeks..

While I'm disappointed I missed Legacy by so close, I'm still very excited to play ARR, and considering how much I loved 1.0 even if I have to wait until Phase 3, I know ARR is going to be even better!

Just my 2 cents because I know there's a lot of people with strong feelings today.

How can it be that you missed it? I find it hard to understand.

I got an mail from SE, around May.
I did pay for some months I believe (more like forgot to set the payment option off,when I stopped playing.)
But after the mail I got excited, So I turned subscription on again, and paid for 3 months in advance, so I was guaranteed to have legacy.
I never quit subscription, because I wanted to support them, So I paid from May till the subscription stopped.

I only played like 3 weeks in that time, I really couldn't like 1.xx.
So if I don't like ARR then I wasted around 7 months? of subscription fee.

Well that is my problem off course, I put a lot of faith in SE. And I guess that SE seem to give legacy access to beta, the legacy members now are a part responsible for the success of ARR, which they are probably motivated for, because else they wasted money.

I just want them too succeed and if I can help them in anyway, then I will do that.

So I do wonder, how can someone who seem to have liked 1.xx missed the chance?
I don't understand that part of your post.

It is not an advance to be in the first few phases of beta, characters get deleted, not all content available, you have to do the same content over and over again, to test everything properly. And the worlds won't be online 24/7, with a bit bad luck some of the beta people maybe don't even get the chance to play, because of work/school/sleep?

Every subscriber seem to have access at beta phase 3? That is the phase when it becomes a lot more interesting.

So you really don't have to be sad! And maybe you get even in this phase, test won't start till 25?

SE REALLY should've sent out an email to let players know about the legacy campaign months in advance. So unless they did that, everyone has the right to be butthurt.

Wait wait, so you mean to say all these people are complaining for no reason?

SE gave plenty of time for people to get legacy status, they sent e- mail about the campaign even sent the welcome back e-mails, even some game sites posted about legacy program and 2.0(IGN is one to name).

They are complaining because they have a wrong sense of entitlement.
Legacy was announced as well as the conditions were announced. Either you chose to meet them or you chose not to.

It does not matter if you played for 1 day or 1 year as long as you met the paid requirement - it is a thank you for supporting the game financially and quite frankly... it's not much really, it's just a kind little thank you.

Paying for 90+ consecutive days (whether you play or not) for a "broken game" is what the legacy deal was.

part of me wants to munch on some popcorn and read this thread, but I don't know if my BS shield can handle it.

Why do you care so damn bad that you didn't get Legacy?? You all act like Legacy is some holy grail that allows people to get all the best gear and leaves all else in the cold... Seriously... After Beta is over, Legacy isn't gonna mean a damn thing to anyone except the discounted price we get for having been willing to pay the fees during 1.0. And if you weren't willing to do that, why do you deserve a discount?
