Nope, the state of the game is back to November 1st, where you were and what they added recently remains. The only thing that doesn't remain is the finale events, Relics, boosted anima and near free repairs is staying.

There's 17 people logged in on my server right now.
I'm just on to take screenshots as I forgot before the servers went down, then I'm done with the game and never logging in again.

Terrible decision to bring the game back up. Focus every single resource they have on 2.0 until release.

My recommendation? Get 2.0 out sooner than April 2013 and let go of 1.0.

Maybe they have a bunch of staff they don't want to have nothing to do until 2.0 that can be working to monitor the current game. I am eager for the release too but I don't want them to over rush it. Besides, I think they took feedback from the user/player polls to make the decision to keep the servers up.

Hope no one trips over each other trying to get back onto the servers or anything...17 is a lot.

Honestly, I don't even understand why people want FFXIV up. What's the point really? I mean FFXIV 1.0 was fun and all but, the story's over, etc.

I could log in and just shout in each city there screwed >.>

It's kind of funny. With no pressure to make progress, we're actually doing silly things that are turning out to be pretty fun.

Tonight we beat a level 78 Creeping Ivy at the ruins by Lasthold.

Then with 6 people in the party we went to Dzemael and cleared every single monster (except for the unkillables) just for fun. We were wondering if we'd make it in time, but we completely cleared it with 20 minutes to spare.

That was actually the most fun we had in Dzemael in a long time. ^^

I'm sure this makes no sense to a lot of people... but it's just fun to be with friends I've known for a couple years now, and do stuff we'd never really done just for the heck of it.

I had fun too today! XD

Joined a JP shout party. Ends up doing Nael van Darnus Normal, and we totally rocked. XD
Then we tackle Ifrit Extreme, and we dropped like flies. Tried twice. lol
After that, we deal with Garuda. As I suspected, they also doing the BLM burn too. Seems for now that my double meld Electrum Scepter and Gridanian Shield fare better for this fight since I need MACC. :p
Finally got my 1st Garuda weapon: Garuda's Talon. XD

It looks like we're still gonna have more fun today, so I'm gonna neglect FF11 just for today. lol

Been playing since the revival of the servers and unfortunately balmung feels empty. It nice since I can play in a field with no lag, but none of my friends from my social lists are on. From the looks of it unless more people start logging on soon, the servers will go back down...
