Fair enough. If you don't like the emotes you get, not much to be said for that. Not like you can be forced to like something you don't heheh. I suppose the request could be made to make the existing emotes a bit more expressive, maybe a bit more comical or exaggerated in some cases. I love how Roegadynn fall asleep, for example. Just on the bed and... -plop- into the pillow.

There's a lot that can be done without having to resort to bringing in real world pop-culture references, which really aren't about the character at all.. it's about the meme. If a character is doing the macarena, it's not "entertaining" because of the character doing it.. it's funny because everyone recognizes it. So, personally, if I were looking to get more character/personality for my chosen race, I'd just be asking for SE to do more interesting things within the context of the game world itself.

That's just me, though. I prefer as much internal consistency in a game world as possible. The moment real world references start to become more "in my face" (fortunately, they haven't yet in XIV, though I've seen them), the game's world/setting loses some of its own identity and 'attachment' for me.

I will say - on a serious note - I was thinking about your Tax Accountant remark and, while I know you were being facetious when you said it, I think that would be hilarious. If I was in Gridania or where ever, standing around or what-not and some character comes up and starts going on this Tax routine or something, I'd think that was awesome, personally. I'd most definitely play along. But then, I'm a huge fan of people really getting into their characters and doing fun/random stuff with them.

I wouldn't discount something like that lol. Could even make a name for yourself!

That dance the miqo'te does in that cutscene would really be awesome as their dance emote :3
I never made it to Armorer lvl 30, think I was at 24 when the character save hit. I leveled all DoH in 5 lvl increments at a time :p

Wow, that was great stuff. It would be interesting if they actually hired a dance choreographer or someone that could actually come up with new dances based on the world setting, type of music that probably exists , instruments used, etc.

I don't know anything about dance ...can't dance to save my life, but I'm sure someone does hehe

for real this dance that all the race have are so awful i mean seriously other game have much better dance then this, and if you making a good game now dont forget to add those things that people like to do when they achieve something nice so PLEASE give us better dance :) and more emotions :D

ugh my Elezen Male dance move looks like hes shaking ants off his feet, i would vote hell no to pop culture, but hell yes to anything unique and more alive

Really? The current ones are fine? They're so lifeless and downright awful it's almost painful to watch. I'm not asking for "WoW like" dances. I'm asking for dances with actual life and passion.
