One thing is for certain, trying to gather people to pray at the diety stones is not going to help, because every one wants to try and kill the mobs. On Excalibur we downed a few of the trees, but the trees were soon replaced with more to stomp our face in the Ul'dan stones. Another maintenance is coming up, most likely for more death updates. Probably related to the stones, and that area we cannot access, but is in the lore, "Carteneau Flats."

The lore states to try it with a mass of people, one person nor 4 does anything substantial.
How did I miss the point of the topic, it is pointless to stand around trying to kill the mobs which constantly spawn, ya, I agree it was fun for the first few times, then you want to either watch or try to see if there is more to the lore post.
People in Ragnarok are still fighting the good fight, and we're starting to believe it might actually be doable XD

I think it's funny how everyone wanted the NM to roam around after the final save and they gave it to them but people still complain lol. Maybe its not exactly what you want but you got it. Just be careful what you wish for.

Honestly I was expecting something more akin to the final battle from Crisis Core, a battle of attrition that eventually becomes apparent it is impossible to win.
But with the limits of 1.0 we have to settle for level 90 monsters? It's fun either way.
Ya they have overly hinted at the fact that we are to pray at the stones and "Call for help" from the gods, 1 or 2 people praying won't do anything get 50-100 to mass pray and probably something will happen, I foresee if people keep doing this all mobs get aoe and will 9999 everyone that continues to fight. I think this the mobs are their for a sense of dread, and for sake of story most people in an event of this go and pray to their gods for help. I think we are to do this or else they will keep making it harder for us.
The latest Journalist post talks about Eorzeans going to pray to the gods, then the most recent update states "call for help" who else is left for us to call upon and return for this final encounter that has been stated that they will return. They, the gods won't return if there is not a great outpouring of prayers to them if 1-5 do it the gods will think "oh not that big of a deal" but if 50-500-20,000 people do it the gods might go "oh crap something is happening to our people we must investigate". And to give us a speed boost at restoring anima, for what? Killing mobs in town, I think not!
Come Eorzean's get your praying on so the heavenly might of the 12 will strike down these obstacles.
He had one down to about 85% until some griefer deliberately led it away so it would regen. We definitely would have had it otherwise.
