Some people can't help themselves can they? Near instant reaction to your action in an Alpha build, I call a success, even if it is Character Creation :P. 1.0 Alpha there were huge problems, not a lot to select, slow response time and there were login failures.

Oh God I still have flashbacks from that lol... took 40~min to make a character because every time you selected something in the menu it took 10sec to show up and then the menu was awfully laggy>< ... then taking an hour of spamming log in etc...

The 2.0 alpha client really is worlds beyond what it was in 1.0 ><

The voice selection list does seem nice!
I hope we get to preview more of the voice before making a final selection -- the sample was rather short in the video.

On the Japanese side it has always been "Hyuran" so maybe it will remain "Hyur" on the English side.

Tell me about it, I wanted to through my computer out a window, when I had to wait that long >.>.

2.0 Alpha from the video compared to 1.0 Alpha:

- Near instant Selections
- 3 Different backgrounds to choose from to look at while you create your Character
- More selections ( 12 voices?! and there maybe more considering this is still Alpha)
- You can make your Tail and Busts Small to Big

This alone makes me feel safe in ARR's success, (but I'll still keep my expectations low though)

It's not even about the Character Creation that has me stoked, it's how fast everything works ( for an Alpha Version) That gets me thinking ( If they are this far done, and were only in Alpha, I can only imagine what the Retail version will be like.) I really didn't get that feeling with the 1.0 Alpha.

The voice options has me intrigued, I think instead of locking certain voices to certain races they're unlocking all the voices on a gender basis instead of a race one... but I won't be sure of this until I actually get to see it for myself;;

I dunno, I've heard what I've initially percieved to be a miqo'te only voice on a lalafell before.

Was already stated many times that they are implementing more styles. Obviously they would include the styles already made first with the alpha.

The point isn't totally to preview all of the new things coming in 2.0. The point is to test and find bugs and to fix players to do things that would stress the game to see how it holds up. How is adding all these planned hair styles and such going to help that?

Also, you're lucky they are presenting this game's development as an open book. Most people have to sneak their way around to see footage.

Can we keep all posts going to the thread the REP opened instead of this? I feel if we have any suggestions or comments, the devs would prolly find them faster there.

This. The difference is nowhere near as similar as the bust size. Not a whole lot they could do I guess. I was just hoping for more musclebound hyurs.

To be completely honest, I would have rolled a Lalaefell or Roegadyn had I known I could see how AF looks on my character.
