If I remember correctly, Northman just didn't speak English well, so it was hard to understand him. This guy, from what he has said, appears to be a native speaker (He might not be, I don't know.) but is just as, if not more, confusing.

Yes, in fact we met playing FFXI 9 years ago, been together 8 (hell, we even got married in XI 8 years ago haha) and married 4 next week. We can't always go out due to no baby sitter, so we play XIV :P We always do stuff together in-game. He's not my prince charming, but he is my soul mate.
Sorry to hear about your marriage, and I can understand how being hurt can give someone a negative opinion on things. Best of luck to you finding a wife with similar interests
So what your saying is the FFXi formula works. that you found your soulmate through FFXi and playing Final Fantasy right. How did you know? What led it to you? do you write a book? could you tell us the details? I have been searching for a sucessfull marriage and the only one i could find is what you say. Okay well /congrats on 50 more ffxiv years. Do you have pictures? allright Thank you bye,bye

Ps. what about Video?
The problem wit this thread is that it failed in the first post, because the OP already used his RL card so no argument can be entertaining anymore
In b4 the guy says that Black Mage are like Racism in rl
Those mages are black not because of 'black magic' but because they wanted to be hated by the mob
'just like Black people beeing hated back then then beeing slaved.
Ok i went far but not like this thread is important
Bastok, I would like to come up with a counter-argument to your original posting/theory; however, I would first like to make sure that I understand your case completely. Here is what I took to be a summary of your first post:
You claim that this, the "Real World," is actually based on a number of fake or false suggestions and brings doubt to the legitimacy of calling this the "Real World." Through your examples you state that peoples' goals/dreams/aspirations in the "Real world" are determined largely by comparing themselves to others that appear in mainstream society and media. Due to the fact that most media (such as TV) is based in fiction, people are then setting unachievable goals based on situations that do not really exist. Conversely, the world that is presented by FFXIV and other MMO's do not suffer from such circumstances. Players have the freedom do what they want and are able to set goals/desires on things that are actually attainable. Therefore the world of FFXIV is more real than this one.
Please let me know if this is an accurate assessment of your case or if I have missed anything.
