people managed to make interesting creative RP venues even before it existed, they just simply stopped cos of the convenience the plugins and mods provided. Coupled with the fact that numerous folks in different threads have been pointing out that it also barred vanilla and console users from such venues or rp interactions simply cos they didnt use it, its safe to assume why folks are coming to this conclusion(and before you say this isnt true, i implore you to go around and see other relevant threads and the replies of people who have felt they been excluded).
and lets be honest, most folks will return when the replacement comes in like usual as we've had hiccups like this before.
Odd you don't have the humility to admit your previous post was either just confirmation that it's only 5% of the player base that used this program or that you didn't math correctly and didn't know 25-100k out of 1mil is 2.5-10% which was claimed. Instead of confronting your error, you sweep it under the rug.
I do have something to gain from them leaving, my account ID isn't getting scrubbed by their program. Y'all need to research why you need to do your due diligence when installing unauthorized programs, look up what Gshade did to the XIV community a few years ago to see how messed up some 'good guy' developers can be. The fact this program logged account IDs to begin with is a horrible security flaw that shouldn't be handled by a 3rd party program, ever.
As a role-player, I'm not entirely convinced Mare was a net gain for the community. When it got big, actual role-playing venues were replaced by clubs and brothels in Party Finder. While correlation isn't causation and I'm sure there's other issues impacting things (Dawntrail losing players, the big RP servers being closed for half a year now, etc) Mare certain made the "not-really-role-playing-but-seen-as-part-of-the-role-playing community" bigger.
some think it's about inclusivity furries non binary and all those thing I don't get not gonna lie and don't wanna either. like well I believe in science and everyone get upset when you don't respect those choices but are forcing them on people. like isn't a double standard? my biggest problem with the thing is alot of player changed the gender of the character they are as. like a female miqo turned into a male something and when you get it wrong they report you to GM.
I think SE might have catered to much toward all of them that they forget the other part of the playerbase.
I see LGBTQIA+ worst then politics
People used mare, and use mods, because game fully lacks of any good modern character customization. We have old faces and all characters looks the same.
Maybe try to focus on reasons?
Same for blacklist. its completely useless, it has 200 slots, no autoremove feature, no DF filtering. For example I like to play a conjurer, and have a lot of annoying players (especially mentors) who tells me how to play or these losers even votekick me, I would like to filter them out from my DF.
Or I see a music bot band, who have awful taste in music, so I would like to add them to blacklist, but **Temporary**
i doubt that any dedicated raider would quit the game, because he cant see big t*** goth girls and modbeasts anymore
