Same reason they decided to change it before, I guess? They basically already have the framework. You *can* do it with Duty Support, except for Ultima Weapon which I don't think would be too hard an ask.

I dunno, I think this roulette's biggest problem is the fact the poetics cap is still 2k.

MSQ Roulette is such an anomaly. Like of all the duty cutscenes, the ones in these three duties are the ones everyone are forced to watch. The improvements to actual fights themselves were good, but the unskippable cutscenes still feel like clumsy storytelling. I can kinda foresee them further reworking them to a point where they can be rolled into high level dungeon, and trials roulette, but I'm not sure.

I would prefer it, if Prae, Castrum and Ultima would be reworked into solo duties. I think it's just dumb by this point to have unskippable cutscenes in duties if we have the option to run them with duty support.

But can't we make them into solo duties and fill the MSQ roulette up with any duty which is a part of the MSQ? All dungeons, Trials and most importantly, CT.

Filling an empty party slot for one of two of my favorite dungeons? Sounds good to me. Meanwhile you're still stuck with them being part of your leveling roulette pool forever.

The only reason for the extra tomes and XP is the cutscenes. If the cutscenes bother some people, they can just ignore this optional roulette, it will be just the same as if they were single player duties.

The problem is, is that you aren't exactly creating a satisfactory nor engaging experience, and nor are you necessarily appeasing everyone that does the story for the first time, because they may not care for the story in the first place - Having them as solo duties literally just gives people that option.

As it stands those duties are more cutscene simulators than they actually are duties. Whether or not they are separated from other instances doesn't really change that issue, IMO. All it does is make the issue a little less compounding.

For me personally, it just makes the most sense for them to be solo duties with the way they are cutscene heavy rather than actually gameplay heavy.

I don't get why people queue for MSQ roulettes other than easy rewards for easy work.

If it's for EXP literally do your highest levelled dungeon, it's more efficient. Heck even a Duty Support run will be faster. Or do the Alliance raid/Earring strat.
If it's for tomes capping, if you need MSQ roulettes to cap then I can only assume your week was so busy you'd be forgiven for not capping this week.
If it's for the other tomes, neither of those are that important that you need to religiously clear MSQ roulette if you hate it.

Do people think FF14 is a mobile game and you need to do all your roulettes daily? MSQ Roulette is, as been said, a quarantine for 3 duties people don't want to do, so that people who want/need to do them for X reason can find reasonable queues. You cannot break it nor can add things people want to do, because then people will get even saltier when they get the thing they don't want to do. It is perfectly imperfect as it is. If they convert these duties to Solo duties, they would more than likely delete the roulette.

I'd say it depends on what's meant by "efficient." The high-level dungeon may be more "efficient" from a strict time-perspective, but I'm going to be 100% focused on the entirety of that run. Meanwhile, if I do MSQ Roulette, it may take slightly longer, but I can multi-task the majority of the time and do other things while the cutscenes run, so my overall "efficiency" may actually be higher because I've accomplished other (non-FFXIV) things while still taking only slightly longer time-wise than if I had done the top-level dungeon. For DPS in particular, there's also the queue to consider (I have regularly found the MSQ Roulette queue goes significantly faster for me on a DPS than queuing specifically for my highest-level dungeon), so in that sense the overall time spent might actually favor the MSQ Roulette.

The only thing I'd ask for this roulette would be to have some sort of way to get skippable cutscenes if it detects everyone presents has done this particular MSQ dungeon.

If it can detects when someone's new, I bet it could do that.
