Strayborough Deadwalk's first boss is janky.

The issue with this boss isn't difficulty. There's a difference between jank terrible game design and difficulty. The first 2 bosses in stray are just horrible game design vs the bosses in other expert roulette content that have manageable mechanics. Why I get stray I'll often take the 30 to save myself the headache of it all

... There's nothing wrong with the second boss? It's a simple "watch the cup" and don't go to that area. When there's two you only need to watch one cup and see where the other one starts. And the poison puddles are piss easy.

Either the cups are 90° separated or 180°. Pick one and note if the other cup is "ahead" or "behind" from the starting position. Then whenever it finishes, you can tranpose where the 2nd cup was. For example, if they started North and East and you follow the east one... then the second cup was "behind" (since they always rotate clockwise). If the watched cup stops at south, then you know the unwatched cup must be east. So, the safe spot is northwest.

Obviously, this isn't for Infindox - just for another person reading it that might need a more detailed explanation :)

I'm actually pretty good at three card monte and yet on dps I couldn't follow this mech for shit. After a couple times I said fuck it and reverted back to danger Dorito mode. No shame in following the 2-button rotation green dps if it works.

Yeah, I'm super sympathetic to peoples' concerns, but the 2nd boss is definitely not one even I would entertain difficulty concerns on.

It's a simple bait pattern, they target the furthest player from them, then the closest player to them.

I'm with the majority of posters, that first boss is jank. It's not difficult, but the 'hat' mechanic is annoying for various reasons and they all pile up on top of each other. They're easy enough to avoid on their own, but if you get grabbed and hatted, not only are you more likely to get hit by another mechanic while you're held or slowed, but you can't do anything at all except run around while the hat is on, and it seems to take forever to come off. That isn't fun. It just feels like the developers are padding out the fight for no reason.
