I'm with Molly Millions on the hardware issue. I'll be more than a little upset if the reqs exceed what we have now.
But there aren't any features that will cause me to quit if I don't get them.
However, there are LOTS of "features" that could cause me to quit if they were ever included..
Stuff like:
Open World PVP
Micro transactions
In-game adverts
Recognizable political/social activism themes
Cross-game/cross-company promotions (God of War, Halo, etc)
New world maps modeled after FFXIII's 'corridor zones'.
There really would be only one deal-breaker for me: Player interference. As long as the game isn't wildly open to people being douchebags and/or competing for ridiculous spawn camps or similar terror stories I hear from XI, it'll be awesome.
I mean, i'm definitely not against content that is designed around competition, like PvP and other such things (they just got in my ignore list), but unless that is the entire point of said content, it becomes the worst headache ever. That is pretty much the only thing that'd drive me away.
It's a tie between:
Legitimate feeling of accomplishment when completing something hard.
Varied and deep world with areas I can't just waltz on over to at level 10.
Less menus for every decision and quest. If anything breaks my precious immersion it's trying to experience a dynamic and breathing world through digital paperwork.
Open world PvP doesn't make a lot of sense currently. we can't play on the side of the empire. and the GCs dont' hate eachother enough for all out open warfare. and with the empire threatening war, it's unlikely they would risk this.
what's wrong with micro transactions? or do you mean being forced to buy little things to maintain a competitive advantage? i don't mind micro transactions as long as it is vanity only. or things like xp boost. league of legends handles micro transactions very well. also the UI isn't really set up to handle this kind of thing. it'd have to go through their 'crysta' or w/e it is system they have on their webpage. and because the game crashes everytime you minimize i don't see this as likely.
in-game adverts don't make sense either. SE has never done this. why would they start?
cross-game/company doesn't make sense either. SE, again, has never done this.
no comment on corridor zones >.>
I don't think in absolutes. I will play 2.0 with an open mind. If i'm having fun, I will stay. If not, I will find something else.
My deal breaker: Leave my brain alone.
If SE brokens my mind, I unable play 2.0.
Suggested Resolution: Pleasd don't brokened my brain muscle parts. Beaucoup hurts desu.
1) Open World Content like FFXI (sky/sea) and Instanced Zones like Dynamis/Limbus/Einherjar with averange Droprate like in XI.
in shortwords, i would love to see a "remake" of XI, it was the best mmo to level 75 times, where u farm for you favorite classes alot of equip, and it was fun! sometimes i really miss the times ... 6/7 days a week different raids... and sometimes not... but atm i am doin the same ... 6/7 days i am doin CC or AV but its always the same... i going in rage mode because SE faild so hard with XIV and 2.0 start is my last hope... if i dont see any good changes ... thats it >.>
