Dawntrail release date

They will very much likely drop the release date along with the pre-orders for Dawntrail during a Live Letter in the Spring season; so that's what i would try watching out for.

It absolutely won't happen before the whole Xbox testing is completed, and I'm assuming the Xbox launch will be follow shortly after the test is over; again, don't expect to hear/read anything 'substantive' related to Dawntrail until Spring.

The thing you don't seem to understand is that they don't do that because they let us discover it on our own. This isn't other MMOs where the devs drop every detail before anyone's set foot in expansion zones. They give us enough to whet our appetite and drip out information here and there but work very hard to preserve our experience. Having played MMOs where the devs showed all their cards, I appreciate their actions.

thats fine and dandy if they have any hidden cards, but i doubt they do, i think the lack of information is because our minds know what we are getting already;

2 smn difficulty jobs beholden to the 2 min meta, a few dungeons that are all but clones of one another minus the esthetic, 4 raid bosses that will be yet another example of recycled mechanics, some hunt marks that are reused assets but in south america-orzia, another deep dungeon that will die faster than the last one, some critorian dung that will be ignored by most players and its rewards are not worth the hassle, and then "maybe they're dating ultimate" that will be way to over tuned and everyone will be botting it again, or it will be so under tuned that it will be boring and sold week one by RMT sites..

you say they are keeping it a secret, i say they are selling you a pre-order before you see they gave it minimal effort.

It sounds like there's absolutely nothing you're interested in yet that will make you pre-order it. That's fine and a valid viewpoint. Speak with your wallet, after all. It's perfectly understandable to be cautious if Endwalker wasn't your cup of tea. But this is the same amount of information we always get and a few more nuggets may come out with the media tour. So trying to act like we're getting anything different is disengenous.

Viper: Uses two single-handed swords that can be combined into a single two-handed sword. Alternates between pressuring enemies with swift strikes from their two blades and dealing mighty blows with their joined weapon. Has a phase where they can imbue their soul with additional power for a brief time. In other words, a buff phase. Uses scouting gear like Ninja.

Pictomancer: Uses a paint brush. Draws with different colors to paint ice, fire and lazer attacks, and to imbue the paint with life similar to how Arcanist imbue objects with life. Since this takes a long time, they have instant cast abilities to press in between.

The jungle dungeon is most likely in Yak T'el, the dungeon where we float on a water raft is most likely in Kozama'uka, the dungeon with mountain cliffs with electric is probably in Urqopatcha along with the Valigarmanda boss, that I think is part of the contest. All of these are in Southern Tural. The two dungeons with technology are most likely in the North, in Heritage Found and Solution Nine respectively and I assume we'll find the Eliminator boss around there.

That's about the only information releasing in 7.0 itself that we didn't get really, but we'll spot things in the media tour that journalists and content creators record.

Well not particularly, other than in the story, because they have a formula and they are consistent with it, so we know what we are getting and they know what they are making. For long-time players, it's just the standard stuff. Some people don't like this consistency and other people like it because then they know what they are getting ahead of time. I personally like it.

Most likely, but the animations are different so it depends whether you play for aesthetic or for class complexity I suppose.

That isn't how I feel about any raids in the game. If you reduce all content in the game to "stack, spread, in, out" in your mind then, maybe the game just isn't for you anymore? Because I doubt they're gonna change this much if at all aside from occasional ideas like P10S had, we both know this, so at the end of the day you either like the game or you don't.

To be fair, they have actually added unique mechanics to hunts since they increased in popularity over the years. The mechanics are also quite deadly on release because they know there will be plenty of people there to rez.

I hope they announce it with at least 90 days notice for early access. That's how long a lot of employers need in notice for time off.

For those of you complaining about why its taking so long 'and for what' tho... don't forget they are graphically overhauling the entire game. All the models for our characters, and the new DT areas will be updated, and I believe the EW areas will be too, and they will be working backwards as DT goes on to update other areas.
So not only are they giving us what they usually do, BUT they are also updating the graphics. It's a lot.

But they do need to keep in mind how much advance people need. And I know in Japan its not a thing to take time off for an expansion, but they know NA and Europe is a big audience, and people do it there.
