I am overall enjoying the event. It got me to try ocean fishing for the first time and with a little persistence I got my Shark mount on my main!

The one thing that bugs me is the weekly. If you are below level 80 there is no weekly option. It would have been nice if the weekly was set at the breakpoints in the game 50,60,70,80 to allow more people to take part.

I dont think this is true. The weekly seems to be randomly selected from the list of "Standard Duties". I have friends who got Cutters Cry and Porta Decumana, while my weekly was Sophia. So it seems to be luck of the draw.

This - mine was Sunken Temple of Qarn this week, which is a Lvl 35 dungeon.

All of my under 80 alts got something they could not yet do the symbol with the ? that when you hover over it shows the level. All 80 required.

Even if it is luck of the draw then it should be set up so that what is available should be level based on the level of the character so more people have the option to do the weekly.

The new format looks promising but I have little incentive to try it out because this round's prize pool is extremely underwhelming. There isn't anything I need in there, not even Verdant Partitions...

I like the new format, but have run into a few issues.

On an alt, the random weekly is a normal raid (judging by the icon) that I have not unlocked on that character. It doesn't tell me what it is, so I "don't know" what to do to unlock it (I know its an eden raid.) If weeklies are going to be randomized per-character, they should only be things that character already has unlocked.

Why are moogle tomes STILL something that take up inventory space? They are literally a currency. Put them on the currencies page.

And this is more of a personal gripe... but why are the Crystal Tower raids the ones giving tomes? They are already required for msq, and the only alliance raids anyone has available until they beat Heavensward. We do NOT need any further incentive to run those raids, they show up in roulette enough as it is. Crystal Tower raids should be locked out of moogle events indefinitely. If you're going to try to motivate people to try new things, then actually Do That by giving rewards for other raids. And tell them where the unlock quest is, in the event they don't have it yet.

I would say the weekly needs to take into account MSQ progression, my alt got E3 when they are just about ready to fight Garuda in ARR for your MSQ is not very feasible. It should have picked a duty I could have done such as Sunken Temple of Qarn or Dzemael Darkhold. (I would need to go unlock Dzemael but it is at least possible.)

The new tome format is pretty great. Love how they managed to spark a renewed interest in ocean fishing.

I agree that this is a really much more fun way to do the Moogle tomestone event, my only wish is that it took into account where you are in the MSQ. My Alt (whom I've been focusing on) has mostly ??? as options, including for the weekly. That's kinda disappointing. Also, having level 80 zone names in the minimog challenge is a tiny bit spoiler-y for people who aren't there yet. Yes, my Main is through 6.55, so I know about these things, and yes, I like this version better, I just wish it was coded to not include things you can't do.

For example, I can't do the weekly, nor the minimogs, due to where I'm at in MSQ. (Yes I know one is Triple Triad, but because I have not finished HW yet he won't play me. At least, I think that's the reason. I've got TT unlocked, but cannot play that particular NPC).

Aside from that feedback, LOVE the rest of it!

ngl I hadn't really considered that... There really is no reason to have it in your inventory. It's already listed in the Mogpendium how many tomes the player has, so they don't even need to put it on the currencies page if they dont want to.

As for the CT raid selection, I don't really mind that it's on there, because if I'm going to be forced into lvl 50 crap for my alliance raid roulette, I might as well be better rewarded for it. But seriously need to add others to the list, too. Especially the HW raids. People have to do the SB raids for unlocking ShB relics (and Bozja/Zadnor in general) and most players do the ShB raids for glam, and they really don't need incentive for the current stuff, so at least adding the HW raids would be nice.
