To also be fair, at least 2 of the ones submitted by western artists used the template but also drew views outside the template. But they didn't remove the template from their submissions. So it wasn't that that disqualified others. It was outright removal of the template in its entirety.

I guess it will be a longer wait for longer styles. The up-dos kind of work for those to give the allusion that the character has long hair, but it's just not the same.

Did they seriously pick a hairstyle that completely covers the eyes as a winner, when they've had A-Ruhn-Senna's hairstyle sitting in the files gathering dust for 10 years...? Well alright, I guess...

Can't wait for them find some reason to gender-lock it.

There's like zero evidence they'll genderlock styles again, even ones super feminine or super masculine. They didn't do it ever since late Stormblood iirc with the only exception being Scions' styles in the Mogstation.

If they must do something new with those styles, I wish they turn the accessories (e.g. flowers) a toggle or a way to dye them. Some styles are great, but I understand that these little details my spoil the hair for some character concepts.
