Now I’ve watched the trailer, the animation seems stiff and stilted.
It feels very low budget vs how good FFXIV’s animation typically is.

Don't get too crazy now
One thing for sure, the new jobs will always be slightly more flashier than the old jobs in lower levels.
With old jobs having more sharper black and white. and newer jobs being more colorful.
In either case.
Interesting how they styled the intro of the job trailer.
With The Cracked Glass I mean.
Like saying despite being Dual Swords, they are both Heavy and club like/large.
Almost like you need alot of STRenght/AGIlity to use or carry them.
(Jk, don't mind my terrible reference.)
Regardless though, it's definitely gonna draw alot of attention from certain crowds,
and honestly doesn't feel at all like a ninja the more you dig into its Stylistic intents.
But we are all allowed to make our own takes this early on.
Silence/Seriousness is one thing for sure that was taken.
Could almost Say if it was PvP, it leans more Bruiser/Brawler like a MNK, than the NIN feels some get.
But just my takes on the feel(since in PvP is where the True Class Fantasy Rests, within limits), Can only wait and see how it all feels once we get hands on with some PvE.
Withholding any kind of judgement on it till we actually see something with the job showcase in JP Fanfest. I am a bit disappointed we didn't get a corsair, but if it turns into a Thief kind of archetype I'll probably be ok with it, otherwise it will probably be a job I level for something to do and leave it there like Reaper was for me.
It feels like we're channeling the spirit of Zidane!
The showcase for Viper was underwhelming, imo. My immediate thought was that it felt like Reaper with a different paint job. It's a lot of slash slash slash and then go into power-up mode. Hopefully it has more unique abilities and an identity that just wasn't shown very well here.
I like the Twinblade portion, but I feel like a second dual wielding job could have been something other than 2 blades again.
That's just first impressions, and I'm sure they'll reveal more. I'll play it regardless.
