Why am I turned on? Oh yeah...masochist.

It's probably for the best that I don't. I'm just out here working on an old Zodiac relic, and multitasking light with moogle tomes and running Crystal Tower. We all know everything kinda just tickles in there.. but it's still hard fighting the temptation to just spin all the bosses everywhere and standing in all the aoe and just generally trying to see if there's anything that can actually kill me..
I normally play support in multiplayer games because I'm not a competitive person and the "big number big damage" dopamine hit doesn't do anything for me. Even when I dps it's helping others thst makes me happy and why i dps mained nin until thwy took away trick attack.
Healers are a snoozefest even as a casual/mediocre tier player so tanks it is.
I just like being the one who mostly controls the pace and be somewhat braindead in not having to work hard to solve various mechs (since youd always be the point in reference for adjustment). Most tanking relegates to just spank the boss and standing still 70% of the time.
As a Warrior main tank- I can rely mostly on myself to survive the dungeons, and ultimately solo the bosses if/when all dps and healers in the instance die on content. I was able to solo the first raid in the endwalker series weekly on warrior without 7 other people lol. I shouldnt have been able to do that, buy I did! My job is fairly easy, and I dont feel bored. I just like being an unkillable god like my WOL XD
I actually started 1.0 as a tank, and made my way to thaumaturge/blm in arr before going back to warrior after reaching level 50. It was a better job as the expansions progressed. And now Im just a actual god in current tier lol.
Because it's fun. The same reason anyone plays a job.
For the not eons long queue times tbh, also I like being a take that can do big pulls and make an efficient run in normal content for myself mostly, with the bonus of helping other people. The only tank I find actually fun in GNB, with the neuron activation of TBN on DRK as second.
Also fending glam is nice.
Roulette bonuses, fast queues, high defense, contributions to the team. It's got quite a bit of stuff to satisfy Yours Truly.
There was a hot minute where I wouldn't do my roulettes as anything but WAR and it was because I got tired of healing bad tanks and I got tired of dpsing for tanks who were pulling literally 1 mob at a time (no aoe). In EX's I found tanking to be hella comfy for learning and there was almost always a tank spot missing because people got anxiety over using shirk or having to pull some mobs in a cardinal direction during a scripted add phase, idk. I actually find the role boring as hell thanks to how braindead they've made it to keep threat and how dull the rotations are, so my reasons for playing it are pretty utilitarian. Warrior's at least fun because you can get those clutch moments and straight up heal your team better than certain random healers if you know what I mean lmao
