Cannot cast spells while moving.

I don't use flare, it sucks as a spell. I hate being so close ranged, and that DoT is terrible. It's not worth the risk of running up to a human-player, especially a dragoon. Even with resonance the spell still sucks because flare is a shotgun effect. You have to be very close to do more damage.

The biggest explanation of why movement cancel was for PVP. It's not even out yet. There were like a paragraphs or less of why he did it for PvE. PvE it doesn't even matter whats the damn difference between a kite tatic or a sleep/nuke/bind/nuke tatic? It's essentially the same I should be able to do both if I wanted too and I could have, now they took both away. It's called skillful playing and the developers have just one sided the playing field to melee classes, as always.

Maybe because one includes consuming MP in two ways while the other is never getting hit and just using MP for damage.

Honestly, at this point all I can say is "DEAL WITH IT". It's there and done and they aren't changing it.

well technically its not, but the fact that the Ice line doesnt combo at all sticks. The fire line does ok dmg but to only mobs that are ment to be burned down fast. against bosses Fire doesnt do much and you'll be out of mp in no time. Burst is good if you get it off with Excuriate and low mp but rarely happens since whm almost always panic and heal me after i convert even though i use a macro saying im converting and bursting. Flare I use on very rare occasions even when Wars used collision with it. Freeze i like honestly but would have loved it if it stacked with Blizzard at least.

Deal with it, right... and then when people who never played Final Fantasy 14 and see that they have to stand still like alot of other mmos and have less spells than others are more likely to stay playing this game...right.

Your assumptions aren't set in stone on how other people think. Like I said, just because YOU don't like it, doesn't mean everyone else feels the same way. This system has been set in stone for months now so I think you should just deal with it lol. Every point I've proven to you, you come up with some retarded excuse for why you don't like it.

It's good for PvP AND PvE..... You say it's mostly for PvP
It's a good balance for how much damage they can put out.... apparently mages are a "gimped" class
It's been in this game for months now.... new people are going to leave because of one battle mechanic you say they won't like

The forums don't count, they aren't the majority. Just because the same 6 people always disagree with me doesn't make you guys the majority of all the players. What I state about the changes that the developers have been done, could have been done a more effective and in a fair way. They didn't need to do movement cancel. They should have asked for opinions just like the server merges. I gave them other examples of what they could have done. Versus you, just calling my opinions retarded.

If the developers could make an in-game poll on the caster class, and players more aware of what we used to have and what we have come to, I bet they would ask for another change. Which is why I am being adamant about having movement cancel changed to atleast walking motion to be able to move while casting.
