Hmm, perhaps I'm misunderstanding your meaning, but Viera/Hrothgar definitely aren't to blame for this set not including a hairstyle. Gaia's hair simply isn't made to fit player characters. The model possesses limited movement meant only for cutscenes. Hrothgar are male only (for now) anyway and never would have been wear it, and Viera have received every new hairstyle fitted for them since Endwalker came out including Lyse's and soon Alisae's. This is a "can't be ported to anybody" problem, not a "can't be ported to Viera" problem.
Nah it's a factor. Longest hair still goes to 2 styles that are exclusive to Roegadyn Females.
Beyond that the only long hairstyles ingame belong to NPCs being Gaia and Ysayle.
I've yet to see any long style on Hrothgar that goes past the neck.
Waist long hair in a fantasy game seems like a impossibility.
Let's say for arguments sake it was a Viera problem, what gives you the impression they've had any qualms whatsoever about releasing and selling hairstyles we can't use?
They prefer to avoid the clipping of ears on both races but the modding community has long since proven that any hairstyle not compatible in the game can be used on any race just fine. I firmly believe they will use the beast races limitations as an excuse to only release short styles going forward.
It's not so much a Viera problem then it is a Hrothgar problem.
But we shall see how they tackle Hrothgals in the far future.
I still find it mildly disappointing that Ryne, Gaia, Ysayle, Hilda, Omega Twins, Modest Minfilia all have styles you could most definitely use. Particularly Hilda's and that just doesn't seem to be the case. Pretty underwhelming.
Edit: @Mimilu SE may as well just add in mod support since the modding scene clearly does more work in the devs. Probably just had to change a single line of code to make it dyeable.
