People are counting down to see what else they can have a bash at when it comes back up and brighten their minds up to more arguments for "10001 reasons why FFXIV should be cut". And consider this; if SE did start charging, just how much of their player base will remain for the current state of the game?

Not 'no-one'. People with the financial ability and the right mindsets will, but a vast majority will drop. People wouldn't pay a game of this standards, as people will compromise their paid expense for the reward and value of such an expense, and right now, FFXIV is sub-par.
