Yeah, at this point, I don't trust them with properly developing a new race, even if it were just a "hyur with animal features".

Admittedly as a cat person, I am a bit biased. However, dogs are much more fond of me than I am of them for some reason. Kind of ironic considering I have to win the affections of a cat, while the doggo gives it all willy-nilly.

I've been replaying FFIX recently and thought about how cool it would be if Burmecians were a race in FFXIV. Then I realized the engine can't handle unusual body types for players so they would just be Hyurs with jarring rat heads. It's probably for the best that it never happens. :(
