Perhaps they could've spared a scene for an echo vision instead of the one with the two kids going on about friendship. And hopefully more echo visions of her past in the future, to flesh her out even further. Pacing has been slow since 6.1 and quite off in the base 6.0 MSQ, it's time to get this show going.

I agree, Zero has spend enough time giving us exposition on the void and it's history, so i hope we focus more on her backstory.
I also hope that the remaining Lords, Rubicante and Cagnazzo get only one shared echo flashback because it would take from the time necessary to flesh out other characters like Zero and Vrtra if they got more.

She speaks like a Bloodborne NPC so she's perfect in my eyes.

Zero would have Estinien's leverage if they were prominent in a Reaper job quest. Which I feel is what this MSQ is making up for. Glorified Reaper job quest.

Estinien has proper build up from a job quest in ARR, story role in HW and gets increasing dev time across Stormblood and Shadowbringer.

Zero coming in with powercreep, the ability to solve every current problem is a writer's block Mary Sue move in the writing department and as a result it cheapens the character.

I hope the character evolves into something beyond a "Marketboard Merchant" personality type.

Zero: Zero has the DPS if you have the coin.

I don't think that Y'shtola with the combination of her lackluster appearence and personality gives her the same sort of pass that someone like Yotsuyu or Bayonetta gets when it comes to how they treat men. If someone is a 3, they shouldn't be treating guys like Magnai who I'll just say are 7s or 8 as if they were a 2. Also, Runar deserved someone better who was more emotionally receptive and less arrogant, especially given his warm nature.


This isn't even controversial, it's how the world works. Bad attitude, nothing going on with her looks, topped off with the Mary Sue thing and I am bewildered as to why I'm supposed to find this character likeable or why she of all people gets to be this game's postergirl.

Beauty is subjective and while you might think someone is a 3, someone might think they are a 10. And vice versa. It's how people you think are ugly manage to find partners. Because they've found someone who finds them attractive.

A person's personality and their appearance are completely separate things, regardless of how beautiful they are. Anyone of any beauty can be sassy to men who flirt with them.

Yshtola's downfall will be her quest for knowledge. The fact she is writing a memoir must mean her time is just about up or getting close. But since Yshtola makes Square Enix a lot of money I wager she is going to get a macguffin that makes her perceived low life expectancy disappear. Matoya will probably do a thing to save her Miqote prodigy from her dumb decisions.

Yshtola is a poor man's Shantotto at best.
