They're just going to keep slapping band aid fixes on it.

I've gotten to the point of just accepting the improbability of receiving a home. I lost a bid today for a private and felt nothing. So it helps it doesn't sting as much to lose out.

Regarding personal plots. The ratio is horrible for mansions. Over 120 bids on the only Large available in Lavender Beds on my server.

That's 119 upset people that will rarely ever have a chance at a large plot again in the zone they prefer. People seem to want their personal space to design, not an FC house that is owned by one or few.

I would rather pay monthly for server space to have the size house I want to own/design. Instance it, like apartments in a way. Forcing the idea of "community" is not going to make it happen. That should be quite obvious now. I do not say that to be negative, it's just is reality of it. SE has the numbers of how many people want larger housing at this point. Perhaps they will accommodate their paying customers at some time in the future. The lottery was an only an appeasement but not a solution.

This is just housing as a whole. FCs in large servers are also feeling this.

This isn\\\\'t possible because unlike the inside of apartments, which are instanced, housing wards themselves are not. ALL housing areas are "on" at all times. Everything you see in a housing ward is always up even if not a single player is logged in and playing inside the ward.

This is why it takes up so much more server space and how Yoshi-P gets that neighborhood feel he wants to impose on everyone. Even if they set it so that if even one plot is open in a housing area\\\\'s ward another ward can\\\\'t auto generate until that plot is taken there would be enough areas where all plots are filled and the system auto generates more. Then we\\\\'re talking crashes and all kinds of problems I\\\\'m sure the spaghetti code of this game doesn\\\\'t help with.

And this is why the neighborhood/wards system is inadequate. It takes them a long time to get more wards because they have to find and allocate server space to accommodate it and they didn\\\\'t secure the servers needed for this before shortages became a thing. And before anyone says "but they have money to their at this problem" Yoshi-P agreed with this sentiment and he tried to do that and still couldn\\\\'t acquire more servers. He mentioned this in a LL near our before the beginning of 6.0. He tried to spend more money than the servers were worth to "skip the line" so to speak and get them faster and couldn\\\\'t. So yeah, the shortages ARE a problem, but only because Yoshi-P and the dev team like the neighborhood feel and don\\\\'t care that the majority of the player base would prefer instanced housing.

End of the day that\\\\'s the true fix for housing. Everyone could get a house if we all had the option to buy an instanced one. I\\\\'m a proponent of a hybrid model. Leave the existing housing areas as they are, add more wards when server space allows, but give everyone instanced housing as an option too. If people want to bid on a non-instanced plot if one is available? Awesome. If not, let them have an instanced one.

I also want to see instanced housing that is upgradeable. Let people have their medium or large instanced house if they get enough Gil to upgrade to one rather than everyone fighting desperately for the pittance of mediums and large each current ward has. Same for apartments. Give us the option to upgrade size with the potential for larger apartments to have a legitimate option for gardening such as an instanced courtyard. Even if it only ever showed for something like a single large garden bed like what a small house can have it would be all you would need for most people who want housing to stick to their apartment instead.

Current system is perfectly fine and it flushes out alot of RMT Real Estate with it as well or severe reduces it... an best of all, everyone who wants something, get an equal chance.

also everyone must not be able to read, as it clearly say that it wont be forever that it is mainly FC's that got the main dips on getting property, we had that system before with a shirogane step, which only made it all fair for everyone as well.

It will be phased out so all wards will be free for all to put their weekly lottery ticket on, accept that, everyone else did... we did so as well in the past, and people are still playing the game.

And adding new wards and more is way more complicated that what you make it to be, please respect the devs behind this, please respect and most of all understand that running servers like this, is not something you can do from your moms basement either.

Seeing this makes you want to give up. . . this doesnt comfort someone and think "Oh yeah, I could get a house/relocate someday."

My last bid was only up to 14 and the only reason was because there were still several mediums in ishgard still. The reason this is so high because it's one of the FEW mediums in LB

Someone gotta win it, as it is, if you don't try you wont win anything, most would just be happy to get a house at all, so why not put a bet on something easier to get, then once you got that, can do the mission for the next step.

The system has only gone fair to all, and all who want one, just need to put in a ticket now and not click for days or cheat by botting for days, which is great, not only for the powerbill, but also for these players health.

Where are you getting this information?

I try to stay on top of all housing related announcements but this is news to me and you're the only one I've seen stating it.

I think I will never win a house in this system. I have never been lucky with anything related to rolls. Well Im just gonna be happy with my small that i got when people were relocating like crazy to OCE. I have accepted my fate.

All they need to do is add instant housing like other MMO's have. That would fix the whole problem with housing.
