I play almost everyday on Balmung moving around Limsa/Uldah and never get tells.

Maybe one in a month asking me to join a dead FC or something stupid like " cute char ;) ", people who RP/ERP are very picky when contacting others, if you don't have an "E/RP " Search info or tag on , they are not gonna bother talking to you.

The amount of people defending ERP on this game is sickening, you people need investigating.

The ERP community is a mixed bag. You have the people that keep their stuff between them and their friends involved. Then you have the ones that cause problems by taking it public. It can't be stated enough: if you enjoy ERP keep it between the involved parties only. The second you try to wiggle someone else into it that doesn't want in on it is when it becomes a problem.

I really do not understand your crusade against the erp by leaving as a shield that children have a chance of being in contact with this type of content. I just want to tell you, welcome to the internet, the place where your innocence will be trashed. Stop being shocked, the internet is not very young and at the time it was even dirtier than it is now. Do as before, ignore, look elsewhere, report to square enix and play with the people who suit you.

Never seen an erp shout in 8 years of playing, not one. Club events 18+ or not are not erp recruitments.

Maybe its because of my wow background i might just be a bit more used to filtering it out mentally but i know i have seen people in chat shouting out about their cafe's and such but it didnt seem spammy to me. Personally dont mind it because though im much a loner keeping to myself in game once or twice i saw someone shout about a club or cafe and even around halloween there was an FC that set up there house like a haunted house and i have to say it was pretty nice. Now the only things i saw was rp not erp so i maybe some worlds have it worse so i can only speak for my corner of eazorea.

I just wish that rp(e or not) had it's own dedicated channel so that people who wanted nothing to do with it could simply disable that one channel and not cut themselves off from communication with everyone in the zone. Having that stuff in what is essentially global or zone chat is nuts.

You let your kid on anything with an internet connection. Did you really expect only good things to come from that? lol
