Ah yes, here is a prime example of the IQ of this community. Notice how they use buzz words like everyone else. Entitled now is the new buzz word.



Having myself or friends get DC from the game and get booted into a queue is unacceptable. So saying hey you knew this was going to happen, why if you get dc from the game you got put in a queue? Why is it only 1 min to get back. No matter how much you love this company if you can't accept that is a reason to be upset with them. Well shows just how sad you all are.

New expansion launch and login queue I have no issues with. My only issue is that I'm pretty sure there are a very large amount of players finding ways to dodge the auto logout and keep their account and character in game when they aren't going to actually play it for a long time which is leaving less space on server to rotate the people that actually do want to play the game. I would say the people doing that are the ones with the biggest entitlement issues as they choose to contribute to making the issue worse for everyone else just for their own personal convenience.

what capacity issues should have been adressed years ago ? the 5 minute max "regular" login queues i had during the last 7 years or the 1 hour queues during primetime for 1 week after older expansion launches ?

people act all pissy going "square should just have bought more/better servers 5+ years ago, that they haven't done so shows they are cheapskates". sorry but i want to see you guys run a business where you spend tons of money, like "holy fuck this shit is getting really expensive with time" amounts of money to keep stuff ready for the total fringe case where your biggest competitor basically kills itself 5 years down the line meaning you suddenly have to serve 50% more customers than you could ever have reasonably expected..

They've been using server/capacity issues as an excuse for many things over the years. This is also a huge reason for the stat squish. Now it is finally boiling over.

The problem here is that you are obviously not able to see what others are seeing, you have your acceptable queue lengths- fine. Others don't, I queued for 4.5 hours yesterday before I got in at 30 past midnight my time- it's the only time I've been able to get in since this friday. I used to have queues before the launch to but it was more like 5-10 minutes which was ok.

I rather see they prioritise players with lower playtime during this period, e.g if you played for four hours and logged off, reenter the queue you would be prioritised over those with six hours playtime etc.

Yes. When you can get in. The game is stable. Unlike SB that one time. Problem is the queues are now getting borked with 2002.

Ah, so since you were able to get in within an hour, no problems or issues exist. Perhaps Yoshi should be informed that since YOU only had to wait an hour, the 7 days game time he's issued to the entire FFXIV community is unnecessary and they can stop worrying about the 2002, 4004, and other login errors that they're investigating. I mean, since YOU are able to get in within an hour, everything is fine right?

you misunderstood my point it seems. i just like everyone else face queues of 8k+ people when i try to log in. i just like everyone else am effected by getting random dc's during the login process and getting thrown back to the back of the queue. that sucks and i won't say "oh yea, totally great, perfect launch" . what i am saying is that a lot of people act like square should just have bought more servers years ago so NOW this problem wouldn't exist, and to that i say sorry but no, that's not how businesses work, if they did you would call them charities.
