A smaller folder of soul memory then, or a zipped one, with all the soul mumbo jumbo they are pulling off, all is possible to save much of the trope of "getting to know you again again"

The Exarch wants to wake up our G'raha Tia to give us more Trust options later.
I hope a certain person from the Role Quests can be involved in the bolded bit. lol
I would be ok with this outcome, though I don't know if G'raha would actually ask us to do that. Seems more like something that might be a side effect of whatever he has to do to infuse the crystal and carry the scions' souls. Or something.
I kind of agree with this. It's been so obvious that he's going to die for so long, and then with this trailer, it feels like a fake out. Not that I would be against him dying, per se, it's more that it feels so obvious that I'm expecting something else to happen.
The Crystal Exarch dying is likely a very minor thing in the grand scheme of the patch itself. Think back to the trailer for Shadowbringers - the revelation that Zodiark and Hydaelyn were Primals was put forward, which is a pretty major plot revelation. It got people talking, though it also ended up being overshadowed by much bigger plot revelations. I think we're reaching a point where the story is going to get intense again.
My thoughts:
Source G'raha Tia (aka past-self G'raha) is going to play a part in getting the Scions back to the Source. How? Not sure, but I think we will have to awaken/interact with him (perhaps that's why the Crystal Tower raid is a requirement to go through 5.3 and going forward for new players). Perhaps we have to return to the Crystal Tower on the Source and somehow interact with Source G'raha Tia to successfully return the Scion's souls to their bodies.
I do think First G'raha (aka future G'raha that transported the Crystal Tower to the First) will eventually disappear in some fashion due to the timeline change. Once the Scions return to the Source, that version of G'raha Tia won't need to exist anymore; he won't need to go back into the past to stop the Rejoining. He's fulfilled his mission by saving the two worlds and getting the Scions back home. Once this is complete, I think that's then he's going to disappear in some way or another.
Essentially, we won't really loose him. Just that version of him. We still have Source G'raha Tia. They are one in the same person. The First G'raha is the future self of Source G'raha. They aren't like the WoL and Ardbert; they aren't a soul split due to the sundering.
Just my 2 cents.
