Former Beta Players? ... even... Error?

I was around in Alpha/Beta, but I never got to participate all that much. (I didn't have a PC worthy of running the game until about a week after the game officially launched.)

Yea these forums basically launched on the anniversary of the launch of the Alpha forums last year. So yea it's been a year already playing FFXIV for me!!

>^.^< Hello~! I've been playing since the first closed Beta.. lessee name was "Elphaba Thropp" (I wanted to get the un-original name out of the way lol). Then for open Beta it was Tsai Gin (I think that was the last name XD lol)

It was difficult back then, but I was sucked in by the beautiful music, environment and the main story mission. Despite all the pain in the butt logging in, it was fun discovering all the new stuff!! :D

I still play and it's FUN! Just have to roll with whatever the dev's crank out and not focus on some crazy grind to 50. I find fun in all the different DoH & DoL jobs in between ranking up the fighters/casters, helping others & chit-chatting with the folks in my linkshell and exploring just for the thrill of being chased by some crazy monster and KOd (yay for no exp loss /cheer!!) >^^<

That's funny I felt the same about the beta, while I felt there was problem, it was fun to find all the new things and see the character you made being a lot more life-like than FFXI character. It would be nice to feel the same, only that I'd like to see that this game would have a lot more life than now.

Another from Closed beta, my forum account was whacked so I didn't get on much. These forums are better.

Remember the mad amount of unstable elements you would get while crafting? x.x;
