Secret Egg Combos~! (Hatching-Tide Event)

Common items given just got rotated. Sheperd's Pies instead of Ginger Cookies, Rabbit Pies instead of Apple Tarts and Marmot Steask instead of Bubble Chocolates.

And I just realized that for the Secret combinations for Potions, it doesn't matter what type of Fancy egg you use.

Current potion is currently:
Day 2: 3 Hi-Potions of Vitality
- 1x Fancy
- 3x Red
- 2x Green

Lol, it did not occur to me to use 1x Fancy and 5x of a same color. Got 4x Hi-Potions. Was it the same during the first day of the event?

I think for the midnight cap anyway, is the dark egg and then 1 of each color. I was going for an odd egg and got the cap instead.

You have to have the egg cap already in order to get the odd egg. Basically the NPC will go "Oh you already have that item? Take this"

Best thing to do is to use any Fancy Egg, then 2x Color 1, 1x Color 2, 1x Color 3, and 1x Color 4. Choose whatever colors you want, and that'll give you a special dialog moment with the NPC.

Got all my Odd Eggs with 1x Fancy, 1x of each color. Seems like the scheme for them is to have at least a combination of four different colored eggs.

I also tried figuring out the Chocobo Egg helm secret as well. Everyone thinks it's associated with the fireworks and it may very well be since when I trade corresponding colored eggs with a fancy egg I get that cheer sound, but so far I haven't had any luck even doing it in all three cities. I'm gonna try with 3 cities with Motley eggs if possible and see if that works.

nice but short event as usual, teleport in horizon > farm > nophica > farm > copper bells > farm > return to uldah and trade all the eggs... btw i got fun for at least 1 hour :P

That's why I never do these special events, unless there's some useful stats or ability. ( warp kudgle please ) lol

I believe the eggs are just rare, so eventually they will be for sale. If you see me in game I'll help you out ^^

Thank you very much for this information. It helped a lot, and it sure saved me a lot of time trying to figuring it out for myself. Does anyone knows if the Chocobo Cap is obtainable this year?
