I don't think I've ever been shamed about my glamour. I've had comments from people bu just brushed them off. You know the ones when you load in to a duneon as tank wearing platekini and you get people eye rolling and praying them comment about how I'll get killed with so little protextion.
Similar when I was running Dusk Vigil as rdm and had the shisui set on someone in the group asked if I was struggling in the cold wearing that outfit. again just keep quiet and move on. nothing sinister though -

This happened to me only once in this game. It was a stupid passive aggressive comment and I just ignored them and moved on. Truth is.. those types of players will always be around and the key is to ignore them. It's not even that bad in this game.
When I used to play WoW, it was a lot worse. There's an awful stigma associated to female characters who dress in skimpy glam. It automatically made them a "bad player". This would result in many unjustified kicks and harassment from players in the party. I recall one player getting kicked from a dungeon (before we even started), the reason: "go erp somewhere else!" -
