I would kill them, but the issue is the "everyone else" part. The instant a minion despawns, it's all doom, gloom, and negativity then people start leaving the zone in a mass exodus.

I suppose that might change once knowledge of the whole failsafe mechanic circulates, though.

Also, they do take a long time to kill without a significant number of people around as their HP pools are comparable to that of a ShB A rank and there's four of them initially.

Fair enough. I can see why people would abandon the kill if they think it's just overall wasted effort.

I have a hunch the people doing the minion trolling are on level-skipped alt accounts just because they don't want to risk a permaban on their main accounts while they go about testing the limits of what they can get away with without being punished.

The others tend to just add fuel to fire by making snarky, dismissive remarks towards to the inevitable angry shout chat mob that forms in the wake of a successful despawn.

I've had a conversation with one of the people who do this and tried to plead with them to stop as it's making people upset. The response I got was no, they won't stop, and the reactions they get from people is entertaining to them. They love the notoriety & the salt.

I'm just shocked Square is sitting on their hands about this for as long as they have.

You could have reported them to a GM for griefing, using that conversation as evidence.

He still can actually as long as he remembers the date and time frame.

Gotta love some purges every once in a while.

Another one happened just now on Adamantoise in Kholusia. I swear these people do not give up.

How long do these threads usually go on before a GM/Mod/Etc actually walks in and says any sort of thing about the subject, or is there a possibility that we won't even get a "We'll look into it" at all. The longer it takes, the more Forgiven Gossips get de-spawned, the less we see those Rebellions. Give me that "Gossip won't de-spawn till it's 5 minute timer is up" please.
