Unfortunately, due to how rare the Padjal are, and how non violent they are, your reasoning wouldn't even hold in RP I'm afraid.

I-I'm sorry, but if you want to fit things better, the Elementals would have been the ones attempting to kill your Father (Look up the Greenwrath/Woodsin) and in my opinion wanting to be a WHM to be able to stop events like that would make more sense. A Padjal doing something so drastic seems very, very unlikely.

Again your story would be making a type of hyur behave very out of character. Specially since many of them are over 100 years old. It'd be as if Yoda went n did that to your dad. Even A-Ruhn-Senna wouldn't come close to losing their temper enough to break someone's knees and in the whm storyline he's practially "livid" that a non padjal is being allowed to become a whm. Only to go sulk and not talk to you nicely for a few quests.
