Patch 5.0 Notes

I imagine the "priority to subscriptions" might push some people to sign up for the full game sooner than they were otherwise planning to.

It does seem fair to prioritise paying customers though, and the free trial is pretty generous overall.

It would also further encourage new players to pick low-population worlds.

I wouldn't say people on their first free month are "potential subscribers".
They've already bought the game, and are simply getting their money's worth before they actually start their actual subscription.

Because that's all the "PC master race" player will see. SE placing some form of limitation on them.

The frame-rate capper always acted as a divisor against the uncapped framerate on my setup for whatever reason. If I get 70 at 120hz, hitting the 60fps limit takes it to 35, and then hitting the 30fps limit from there would be 17. Ended up just capping it to 60fps manually via drivers for consistency.

Ah. Favorite part of any new patch. Especially major ones. So many new things to learn and understand. Settings to tweak. UI to familiarize. Even if I were an early access player (or even jumping into the new expansion at all right away), I'd probably still spend a few hours checking out all the new changes.

He was using thaumaturgy in the launch trailer. I'd guess that he's a "flexible" Trust that can fill any role, since it doesn't seem like we have Thancred at that point.
