Viera males should be smaller like Au Ra females

Could you quote me what lore you're referring to? The only thing I can find speaking of the prowess of au ra, male or female, are the Xaela are stronger than the other races due to their constant warring between the tribes and we saw males and females taking part in the Naadam.

The Wandering Dramaturge explicitly says the male viera take up a position called "Wood warder" and it is a role of protecting their lands from "evil" - however the viera define evil.

If you look at real humans that live in the jungle, they are rarely muscly but relatively slender. Now this is not real life lmao, but i can imagine having a slender body with legs that indicate speed wouldn't be world breaking. I can see the opinion of both camps though, if we just GOT a male viera my urge to see a mystery would bascially be stilled tbh, been wanting to see one since 2006..

Eh, then you need to start comparing diets and stuff that lend to builds. Muscle requires meat, as you need large protein to repair ripped muscles that happen to gain mass to begin with. There's simply not enough meat for that kind of a body without impacting the ecosystems in places like that. I'd even argue having actual muscle definitions is a relatively modern thing as meat was, for a very long time, considered a wealthy person's luxury (as well as other options for protein in general). However, I was not speaking of just physical prowess. Their lore does state that males and females clash when together, so be it physical or arcane, both sexes can hold their own against the other. While they certainly could be smaller in stature, it would put them at a disadvantage.

Elezen/highlander/whatever with bunny ears glued on would be worse than the roes with animal heads stuck on. At that point don't even bother there's already 7 variations of tall muscular male people can wear bunny ears on. Clearly they're capable of making slim body types since alphinaud exists. Midlander height would be fine as long as we got slender bodies and pretty faces.

Ah I get you! And think I agree with your points. Tbh having male hrothgar present imo should leave more wiggle room for male viera down the line (heard that the limitation is a budget/time constraint issue* so any shred of doubt I might have had about gender unlocking is put to rest) given hrothgar present such a traditionally masculine option. Mentioned past post I suspect facial hair options will be a thing in an attempt to open male viera to players who would otherwise be weirded out by playing a pretty/cute bunny man, which I suspect will be a thing regardless of the rest. Might end up wrong but I suspect facial features particularly without facial hair will be cute since there's a clear desire for that. The big question imo is whether male viera are tall or short and how muscular they are. I am very much with you on preferring a break from muscle men haha, we have a lot already!


*While some people fuss because "how could a big company suffer budget constraints" it does matter when you have to support every employee and keep things running for the future by more than the skin of your teeth.

I think at this point if we get Viera males, we should be happy with whatever Yoshi-P decides to give us.

For what it's worth, I think you can take SE's "last two races" comment with a grain of salt. Imo that speaks overwhelmingly to "don't expect and ask for more anytime in the near future", but who knows? They were joking around about shooting us to the moon in 7.0, maybe they'll surprise us. I don't think short is likely for male Viera, but maybe a short/cute male race could happen one day. I'll keep my fingers crossed that whatever comes out will be something you can enjoy too. :)

Lol to be entirely fair these are rabbits, with rabbits generally being herbivores and all. As wild as it would be to see a bunny hunting for prey I'd be very surprised if they're not vegetarian.

we already have more than 1 cute race. miqo'te and lalas. we already have more than 1 strong looking race, highlanders and roe. but we only have 1 tall slender race, elezen. i expected viera to be like this.
