I have never, ever seen someone get kicked because they were going too slow. Never.

You might not have seen it but it keeps happening to him and me and if I knew how to take a in-game pic, I could even show you proof. It only happens in 4 person dungeons when BOTH the DPS run off ahead of the tank.
I was going to say it's probably a data center thing...but since we're on the same one, that won't the case. I, like VanilleFang, have never seen someone kicked for being too slow. Disconnecting and being offline for 3+ minutes, yes. Verbally harassing others, yes. Refusing to do anything, yes. But not once for going to slow.
Hmmm, I have played this game for 7 years now and never seen a kick for being too slow except in the cases where not only do they pull only 1 pack but they stop and slllloooooowllly mark each mob when their are 2 aoe dps.
So since its not something anyone really experiences and its happening repeatedly to just your friend, maybe its time to take a look at what he is doing. You may not want to hear it but my guess is if you are experiencing it frequently its prob not the community, as this is not an issue for really anyone else.
So I don't think we are getting the whole story here...
I got kicked yesterday when someone dced said something about not able to pull my weight ! I should of reported it!! But I didn't really care! I figured the group was squishy anyways !! When they said I was lazy!!

I mean... he does do small packs of enemies but he does no less than at least 7 enemies, usually gathering two groups of enemies at once. I don't see how that's a problem but he can't target a whole room at once because of his controller. I use PC but he says he can only target but so many on consul thanks to him not being able to see too many enemies. I am a little weary of how it works on Consul compared to PC but I don't believe he's lying. We've done way too many dungeons together and each time he's had to Tank more than 12 enemies, he's never been able to get to the others or just doesn't notice them.
So I don't think it's because he won't pull many mobs. And he doesn't know how to mark enemies on Consul. I usually mark them for him. If I have time too between healing.
This isn't really a good excuse though. I've played both Console and PC. The issue isn't Console vs PC but Controller vs Kb/M. While cycling targets does stink using a controller, it shouldnt have any affect if hes using his aoe enmity attacks and buffs properly. You also can mark pretty easily on console, whether by maco or hitting square on the current target you want hit.
If hes targeting too many things (say party and enemies) you can change this in your settings. It takes some time but you can tweak it to a usable configuration for controller, esp with the newer UI options.
>>Played on PS4 with controller and Kb/M for seperate things (typing, clicking on dead people in other alliances)
>>Currently playing on PC with controller, Kb/M for same usage.
Yes This just happened to me now I got a screenshot of some of the convo, Was running sunken temple of qarn with a new person who I was trying to explain the doom mechanic to on the first boss tank said ' hurry up bitches you dumb ass" yelling at me and the new healer, I tried to kick him because of the harassment on the sprout. Throughout the dungeon he was saying he can just leave and instant queue in 30 mins later He then proceeded to vote kick me and the other dps in the party was his friend and they removed me on the final boss. Vote kick is abused and I am starting to see a rise of elitism in the game. I am a min i level sync player, experienced but also very patient with new players which some of these people are not.
I have since blacklisted the two players and hopefully will not encounter them again.
@Darty123 -- While I'm sorry that happened to you, you cannot claim that one kick equals a rise in vote kick abuse though. If this was a trend that was occurring with increased frequency every time multiple people played the game (I say this because you cannot use the experiences of one individual to demonstrate a trend), maybe. But one instance is not enough to say that the Vote Dismissal feature is consistently abused.
