Patches fall on weekly reset. SE announced release for "Early Oct" weeks and weeks ago. There are only two days that could have been. Plan ahead next time...

I work a rotating roster of days/nights. So does that mean SE doesn't support shift workers? Lawl...

They could avoid this issue by not having a housing shortage. They could also did more to address server population balance but they acted far too late on that. Then top it off the current incentives is not enough, they could make a new server and slap a RP label on it and let people transfer to free to it.

How come NA hasn't got a new data center to help with this issue?

What they really need to do is lock housing to free companies with 5 or more people.
If people want their own place for themselves that's what apartments should be for.

Houses should be for free companies only.

No, private housing should be a thing, you are only saying that because they do not give enough housing. That is on them, and not having enough data centers with population balance. Someone said there are servers with empty plots? or likely would have empty plots after 4.1 while high pop servers all be filled in 5-10 mins, so that is a clear issue.

I don't think it would matter now even if they made an official rp server anymore. The problem with balmung is that people are so rooted in their communities. With all the incentives, the main one being a better chance at a house, we only lost a couple thousand at 4.0, and around half of those people have already been "replaced" by returning players (25k @pre-lock -> 21k @4.0 -> 23k @current).

The ghost town servers finally have some semblance of a population, a new DC full of new servers (RP or no) would be overkill.

Please elaborate, I'd love to see how adding a new data center would fix population balance, RP or housing.

They did not do enough intensives soon enough. They really need a new server with a RP label on it, I am sure people will move. People moved to

and took all the housing and i wasn't enough apparently as it seemed they filled fast.

It is not "overkill" when they completely lock out 2 servers from making new characters on it.

um... I thought it was obvious? There isn't enough room for the housing shortage so we need a new server. How come EU got one but we didn't?
