Maintenance During Prime Time?

Not really when they do maintanence late PST its morning in EU and daytime for JP/OCN so it really affects the least amount of people.

Either you and I have different understandings of 'late PST' or your math is off. Midnight PST is 4pm in Japan and 5pm in eastern Austrailia. If it starts at that time and runs 4-8 hours, it'll be down for either most or all evening primetime for both areas. But I guess that's okay as long as it doesn't inconvenience you, right? :rolleyes:

Maintenance downtimes are and always have been a fact of life for any online game. They always have and always will be at the same time that someone, somewhere would like to be online and playing. If you happen to get the short straw, you can either put on your grown-up undies and deal with it or cry and moan about why you deserve to play more than someone (or anyone) else.

Most maintenance is usually starts around 9-11PM PST not Midnight so ends around 7pm JST right around when prime time JST starts.

Oh and for years I had to play late EST due to work and never complained about the maintenance times as it made sense so dont bring up that crap about being upset when it inconveniences me.

Except that 9-11 PST is still a fair bit of PST downtime for a lot of people...don't most people generalize "prime time" as somewhere between 7-11 PM in a location?

Its manageable and still gives time to get stuff done 7pm PST might as well be a lost day completely for almost anyone on the west coast.

First off they give enough of a warning to change ones plans. Secondly why must they specifically cater to your time schedule? When it is convenient for you it is massively inconvenient to someone else. just get used to occasionally being inconvenienced.

Because this is a Japanese game, and the devs are actively working on it during maintenance. I think that the dev team doesn't want to be working at 3am, so the US loses out so that they can work during normal work hours.
