I'm pretty sure you didn't read everything then lol. They have stated multiple times that they are keeping the solo player in mind including the last letter from the producer.

I agree bud ^^ I want a game that encompasses both aspects as per what they say/have said will be included in the game. I don't think a party nm should be soloable by someone but there should a solo way to get said reward, etc at maybe a lower chance or something. This would allow for both.
Actually guildleves are more like glorified fields of valor pages. I think they should make them non stop for exp, (the more ppl you have the better exp/sp you get per levequest) and have gil and other rewards once a day or game day. Levequest gives you a reason to kill mobs. Like an adventure should be. Maybe they can dress them up a bit better where you talk to the client also. Like you pick the guildleves go to the clients to find out what is going on. Have maybe a bit of lore to them. (and for repeated do what ffxi did and they will happen to need more killed to keep up what they need) example tomina topica (a lalafell miner) needs a mines cleared so she can mine a special ore that blacksmiths use to make special arrow heads for the archers of gridania. and he time you re get this guildleve she will say ya.. I need more ore and the mines got re infested.
weak example but basing it off of ffxi XD
here is the double edge sword of focus on solo play more
solo'ers say "i don't have time to hunt for a party" well in reality, if a ton didn't solo, the more parties that can form as there will be ppl willing to group.
here is the funny thing. The way the class system is set up, was to make your own class. And was to limit the time it took you to find a party. With defined classes only a handfull wil be needed/wanted. The way the system is now anyone can do anything. So ppl are not looking for whm rdm pld. They are looking for members 1 2 or 3. There are times in ffxi where you form up a party but no one you need is seeking.
This will happen when classes get more defined. ppl will be looking for certain classes vs other players. I personally would rather get other players then waste 4 hours waiting for a defined tank.
But you guys didn't like how "the same" it was when you put that feeling on yourself. Also the min/maxers complaining.
we need the money from casuals.
this assumes the player has the time to fool with party building and such it's ok if the game has content for solo players to attain what the game has to offer. It should also support party play in a big way since party play goes faster and thusly needs more content faster. but as i stated before just make the party instances, etc "soloable" by having npc helpers or something to make it where not standing around wishing could do something but no invites/friends online.
What I don't get is why no one ever thought of the easiest fix to this solution, which I have; A party search function. It's really rather simple - a search function that allows you to search for and join people who are doing quests in a particular area. You could have one at each camp for people doing that camp's leves, and one in each adventure guild for all the camps in the region, and a universal one for anyone in the area that wants to fight harder monsters which require teamwork for the better item rewards and such.Quote:

This Dubont fellow's surprised/mocking attitude toward me being inexperienced is rather confusing. I have said multiple times that I am new to MMOs. I started playing this game this month, and my highest rank is 27. I don't know how to use Battle Regimen; it's never been explained in-game, or if it was, I didn't understand what it was saying. But believe it or not, my friend, I am part of the majority in this case. You seem to want the game to cater to higher level play and while that's all good and well, it would be incredibly stupid of SE to focus only on higher level play which is what most of your posts seem to very heavily imply.
EDIT:
What? Where? Why didn't anyone tell me about this? Especially NPCs or other players?Quote:
There's a party search function but people don't use this, for good or bad reason.
There needs to be a wider variety of monsters that can do these things, and they need to be in groups with other creatures that have other abilities. My level 10 thm/pug/arc could beat dodos that had red dots thanks to their other class abilities because the dodos would stop killing me at 100 HP to do their stupid rancid belch over and over and over and fail at it until they died, netting me 600-900 SP a kill. The dodo is a stupid creature that needs something, anything at all with it to be really dangerous. Solo should not be this easy.Quote:
There are, Hippocerf can AoE Stun, Dodo can AoE sleep, Apkallu can do a super wide AoE Sleep, Ahriman can Petrify, Will o' Wisp can drain attributes etc.
I can understand that, and I applaud it actually, but if you have no idea where the shop is in the first place, player owned or not it doesn't matter; you aren't buying anything.Quote:
This game was gearing toward sand-box-ish MMO, a game where majority items are created by and traded between players. Not saying it's good or bad, but that's how it's supposed to be. Therefore the market ward was intended to be one-stop-shop and not the NPC.
Okay... how about instead, let's go with this: More monster variety in a single area.Quote:
You can find that there are variety of enemy stat, some has huge Hp and Defense but poor Accuracy like Eft, some has low attack but high magic attack like Ahriman, not enough yet but they are there.
