Hell I can live with Tackle Mastery (Mostly...) if the RNG of our DPS is alleviated, or gone completely.
I was having a pretty good time with level 70 Monk. It's definitely a serviceable job with good damage and a smidge of Utility. I adapted to the RNG, team comp reliance, and the slow caused by Riddle of Fire.
But then I got Samurai to 70 and did one Susano.
I... won't be going back to Monk for a while, I think.
Having fun with MNK yes. I DO wish Brotherhood effected ourselves when we use it though, could really help our personal DPS.
Monk didn't change much, so I still really enjoy the overall gameplay of it. I'm happy with our current state and the numbers we pull.
It could use a few tweaks to make things less clunky, mostly with Brotherhood. Tackles were a terrible addition for a skill overall, so I just try to look at it as a small potency increase for Fire Tackle.
RoF doesn't bother me, it serves a good purpose in our rotation so I can't complain.
I'm having fun doing back to back 15k+ forbidden chakras in my opener and up to 6k+ auto-attacks.
I'm personally looking for a new job to main. Riddle of Fire combined with RNG Chakra generation ruins the feel of the job and it's flow for me. Mained it for almost three years since character creation, but it's just not fun right now.
I was wondering if anyone had played MNK in PVP and had opinions on how it plays there vs PVE?
Currently, if you have 3 GL you unlock 1 chakra per completed combo rotation. Obviously because it's PVP everything has to be sped up to match the pace of that game mode but as a result does MNK now have better identity in PVP?
If say we lost the RNG of deep meditation but rather gained chakra like in PVP at the end of each combo rotation or maybe even after two rotations (provided you're on 3 GL) would that be too much?
