Only "content" we getting 1.20 is moogle fight?

It's well known some people need high incentives to want to do anything in an MMO, which is why it's such a blurry concept on what "end-game" content is, let alone content in general, it's not a side event, it's content. If it started pumping out +199 stat bodies I bet people will be all over this "side event" in a heart beat.

reguardless its short and repetitive, which makes people not care about it. Even with some crazy reward (which people would question why it does and be confused and pissed on that alone) people would get sick of it, or only do it purely because it gave something too good to ignore.

In FFXI people got really into besieged because it was a fun and unique event, even though the rewards stunk.

I think it's funny people still use the word "endgame" to describe content that's accessible after 2 weeks of starting. Pretty sure it's just the regular game at this point lol.

over 300 achievements with rewards?? surely they will keep you busy to 1.21 at least? Or are they something that you dont see as content?

fock content, give me system changes. seriously. I still haven't killed ifrit yet and I'm not even excited about it. pop up windows for party invites? that makes me giddy

Seriously, they have mentioned the achievements system is different from a lot of MMO's and that actual rewards are going to be given based around them. This part IS content and should be counted as such. Think of them as goals with rewards rather then just number like it is in most games. Will the rewards be substantial and worth it? We will know come patch, but don't discount it just because of how its been done in other games.

Yes the only content is the stupid moogle battle, rest are changes to game mechanics.. not content. Check back in February.. or better yet check back when 2.0 hits because the rest of these patches are going to be crap in a bucket of crap until then..

achievements, though a nice touch, should never be a main focus of "content"....because its not anything other then having people spend a ton of time re-doing things. They should be constantly added, but never a focus to where people have to consider it "one of the big pieces of content".

see thats the thing... I doubt im the only person who feels that the Ifrit and Darkhold areas are fun to take part in but personally i completed them more to get the quest complete. I was never worried too much about getting all the equipment from them because eventually they would be replaced by better equipment as time goes on. This achievement system is something im really looking forward to and for me on this occasion the moogle battle is the lesser content ^^
