Dude..if PF, the forums and everything else cant get you a partner.

Then i dont think such an ingame sistem would help you. And thats the actual point of this. maybe 50% of that thread's replyes are spams, because people are simply not as interested in meeting randoms to marry on this game as you might think. i for one only browsed that thread for the lols.

BTW, cat females or any kind of female realy, is bound to have an easy time finding a mariage partner on any mmo that has such sistem.

You shouldn't Assume things. Because in general you're just making an (Ass) out of (u) and (me).

By all means if you don't like the system fine. But if you can't handle someone giving you a stern response after you've given one. Were not gonna get anywhere if you can't stick with the facts.


We need to get past already that this thread isn't intended for me to find a partner. (It's not even any of yalls business in the first place, hence I don't say anything about it smh)

It wont hinder my gameplay, I just think it defeats the purpose of the EB-system. Its not supposed to be "just another thing you queue up for in DF".

They added marriage because people requested it as something they'd like to do with a friend, or even their real life partner (or probably for extended rp-purpose, dont know). Turning this into a dating-app ... nah, not interested.
But I guess by now I shouldnt be surprised anymore that people want the game to do everything for them - including finding a partner...

Oh and: dont add titles and achievements to it, please - This should be a quest you do for the quest itself or for each other... not for a shiny new title. Getting married should be reward enough itself. (...even though - thinking about achievements like "get married to three different people" and "get married to something else but a catgirl" is making me giggle right now)

In what way and form would the EB system be defeated? This is just an alternative step towards the EB system. Could you provide some clarification please so I can understand where you're coming from?

There should be no etc. Character race, time-zone and gender should be all you need. This game is not a dating website. The marriage thread was not created to be a dating thread. The OP says that in her first posts. This is a video game and the thread's popularity doesn't mean "Players want to date!". No it means players want to EB.

There should be no "hookup" system. More like a "EB n' Go" system. Just get your items and be on your way. Any relationship after that should be treated as a bonus. The video game was not made to encourage true dating. Dating sites are for that

i think op want a system like DF for "potential" EB. you filled a profil and what you're looking for and "EB Finder" give you a list of available players.

I mean - do we really need ANOTHER system for something minor like EB? a system that most of us might need once or not at all? why waste ressources on that?

I am just stating that if someone really wanted a partner, what is stopping them from posting? That being said, I'd also like to point out that players can filter out what they want on party finder, especially now with a lot more "clutter" from cross center.

TL;DR: if someone wants a partner that much, you may either A) leave it to time or B) just lurk/post on the thread.
