Some really good ideas. I too would like to see some dungeons that aren't timed, and have different levels to them as well. I hope SE is listening and incorporates some of these ideas into new dungeons. Even if it doesn't happen in 1.21, at least if they have plans for something like this...
Crystal Tower anyone?
That being said, a time attack is fine, and in some parts fun, and it's good for players to know that they can commit an hour to an event... Both styles have their place, so hopefully we'll see both live on. :)

i like all kinds of content, but an enjoyable time sink should be the exploring, not just beating the same boss 1000 times. imo.
sometime i don't have allot of time to explore so some ifrit is perfect for that

i like to see a dungeon with random map (lots of tiles like: large rooms, corridors, etc) that can randomly be placed to build a "new" dungeon every time u enter in, like Diablo II maps. Then a set of posible NM's with random pop positions, skills, etc.
With this we could have lots and lots of hours playing every time a "new" dungeon and an unexpected NM.
Something like this: http://davesmapper.com/

I like that castle dungeon idea linked a few posts up ^^
I would like
a) more "routes" in dungeons,
b) optional sub bosses (i dont like the fact Ogre is compulsory for example),
c) differing objectives (the lore articles relating to the dungeons hinted heavily of potentially differing objectives/activities going on in the dungeons, yet practically none of this is touched on in game.

I'd like to see less focus on them in general. Sure all FF games have them but they always serve the main story in some way. These dungeons feel like slapped on "levels" and besides loot are in no way connected to a bigger picture. The story as a whole needs work so I hope they put some dev time to that instead of dishing out these levels to us every few months without any rhyme nor reason.

screw dungeons, just copy and paste Sky from 11 into 14, thatll keep us busy for years

Better gear than a single slotted crafted item.

Afaik Yoshida has announed those dungeons to be instanced, which wouldn't be a big problem for me, as long as you'd still be able to meet other players in that instance. I'd not like to see them all beeing "closed instances" where you'd only be able to see yourself and/or your group u entered the dungeon with, like Toto-Rak and Dzemael right now.
In all other MMOs I've been playing (including FFXI), I really loved to just move out to a dungeon, maybe into something like an "open instance", ending up meeting some foreign people who maybe share the same goals as me and grouping up with them, maybe even finding new friends this way. Good example for that in FFXIV would be the lately integrated LVL15 dungeon at La Noscea (sorry, don't have the english name) where i met some interesting people. ;)
I'd really be sad if i could never ever meet anyone in all those dungeons I've already entered, cause i always found that to be really a lot of fun. What do you guys think?
Just my 2 cents and sorry for my english.

It seems most of use agree that.....
-The time limits should be removed.
-Dungeons should be more open.
-Dungeons should have multiple areas.
Will SE remove the Time Limits on totorak and darkhold?
