Do you want Dragoon to have a pet!? (poll)

I think most people have spoken on what they want to see. As you can see in my poll and the one in general, most people don't want a wyvern. Knowing Yoshi, they will stick with the majority.

Wow I'm actually surprised that no one wants a pet. o.o I myself wouldn't mind it, because I loved having a wyvern in XI (I miss the little guy Q_Q). I also wouldn't mind NOT having a wyvern though as well, just as long as dragoon stays true to Final Fantasy.

I really hope to see some Dragoon magic implemented into this game, perhaps similar to Freya's in FF9. :] That would be really neat. Also if they did decide to implement the wyvern pet, I think some changes would have to be made (such as what a lot of us XI players disliked about having a wyvern, such as how often it dies during battle, etc). I'll be interested to see what DRG gets.

Dragoon is getting this:
DRG WS 1 - short-range attack. Combo: LNC WS 2, Bonus: Draws in enemies with enmity towards you.
DRG WS 2 - Self AoE - AoE melee attack. Combo: LNC WS 6, Bonus: Increased crit rate.

DRG Abl. 1 - Performs a jumping attack on the target.
DRG Abl. 2 - Performs a jumping evasion and attack that triggers when you are attacked.
DRG Abl. 3 - Target AoE - Deals fire damage to all enemies within range of the target.

Bring back Firewing!!! He was so cute and always getting himself into so much trouble ><, I think dragoon should get a pet it makes DRG all the more fun to play, watching you're little pet do emotes and fly there beside :)

Also a lot of people still want ffxiv to turn into ffxi with better grapics if thats the case what's wrong with dragoon having a pet, it had one in xi

And the majority of us want a unique gaming experience, there's already an FFXI.

Yes, I miss my Nanaja.

All I can say is that I don't want FFXIV to be FFXI all over again. I left FFXI because I was burned out of it (6 years) and I don't want to be burned out of this one in even less time.

I played DRG for a while and I enjoyed the job, but I don't want to rinse and repeat.

If SE decides to make "Dragon Knight" different to DRG in any way, I will welcome the change.

My 2 cents is alot ppl dont want a wyvern just because DRG in FFXI was heavily dependant on the lil bugger and imo, was a real fall to the class. No one says FFXIV has to be the same. I for one, want a wyvern to follow me around, maybe an upgradable one, either in appearance, or armor my pet..i unno.

Personally, I don't want a wyvern. I feel it held me back in FFXI, as a Dragoon. I really like the idea of some animations involving dragons/wyverns however, that sounds like it would be amazing. In my opinion, Dragoon isn't a job that should be based around a pet, as nice as it was to have the wyvern flying around with you in FFXI. Dragoon was and is unique in it's skillset, and I hope that they keep the job true to what it is.

Just my opinion.
