This does nothing for adding "flavor" to the game, it actually limits it. You *have* to use the specific titles to give the best bonuses for the group. No choice, groups will just replace you if you refuse. Same thing will happen for more options for stats; the best will be found, and if you do not use that optimal set of gear, you will be passed over for someone who has that gear.

Things that don't affect [group] combat affect the game's "flavor" much, much more. Anything cosmetic, solo buffs (like, crafting and gathering, buffs that only apply when solo or with your Chocobo), overworld enhancements (faster mount speed, FATE bonuses) and so on.
But anything that could be used in raiding and progression to make said content easier does not.

I can see where you are coming from but titles should remain just for vanity purpose and nothing more. If titles are made like how most f2p games function, where some titles are sold in events or in the cash shop it'll create alot of problems, I'm paying for subs because SE is one of the few mmo who isn't going down the same road as like every other korean MMO now, where korean developers implement things whether unethical or not, just to make huge profits out of something, RNG cash shop items, extremely buggy patches, 0 interaction between developers & players and when they deem that a game is dead they milk the living hell out of it and use a huge some of the revenue into developing new games. While FF14 has its own issue I'm glad at least there are live letters, and that our pleas are heard, changes made are constructive.

Like i've mentioned titles have to be add huge benefits else it would be pointless to include this system, and if it provides benefits this is what you'll see , "LF Tank with at least Vit + 4% title", or "S>runs for vit +30 title",etc. Title hunt is something done for fun, I enjoy hunting for titles too, but in the event that it is compulsory to go through certain length to get certain titles just to stay relevant stat wise, i'd pass.

yeah, level 60 combat class titles should allow you to cross class any skills from that class.

No, thank you. I'd rather not have to farm 81278124 MGP to get that +5% crit, or something stupid like this.

It really doesn't - right now we are severely limited, this would add a form of customization. I'd love to not have our PIE thing double up and swap in my static with my AST buddy - and then swap out for another title when doing non static things.

Anyway whatever.

The solution to the healer stat bonus is simply to have 2 different healer jobs = both bonuses, regardless of healer job. Titles should remain as they are. You're not adding customization with title bonuses, you're adding requirement.

I've read that the Mameteer title makes some minions behave differently while worn. Not sure if any other titles come with abilities.

It really isn't a requirement, just like a having a WHM isn't a requirement even in static raids. That said, I don't care any more - this conversation is going no where. I've already decided I am unsubbing, in large part due to the lack of customization and flavour this game has, as soon as WoW Legion drops.

That said, I wanted to note that requiring someone to bring the MND title is really no different than requiring a NIN to have Blood for Blood unlocked. The major difference is anyone who has it unlocked in a group can bring it (another example, say I haev SCH and BRD at 60, and a NIN in my party has NIN / WHM - we could set it that I apply the dex and they apply the MND buff for the team). I don't really see for a mass exodus off cross class skills, so I don't really understand the problem.
