Hmm, does the boat have a set schedule based in Earth time or Eorzea time? I never really noticed or bothered to check.

Actually, I have no idea XD But the last time, I actually missed one by seconds, and another one came up like... 4-5 minutes later.

Absolutely! How about a little rocking motion, or perhaps some up and down? Waves crashing upon the hull with sea spray, that would be nice. Add some loose ropes, banners, and other objects to wave and flutter in the strong ocean winds.

Also make the boat rides needed to travel to places. Don't bother wasting months to design airships if nobody uses them for transport.

How about a motion sickness emote to go along with it?

No but seriously, I agree that making the boat actually look like it's in motion would be a big help.
